WandaVision will spearhead the next chapter of the MCU by introducing the concept of the multiverse in an exciting way. Set to premiere on January 15, 2021, WandaVision will place the spotlight on Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany's Vision, further expanding their roles in the monumental franchise.
In the weeks leading to the show's much-anticipated premiere, a slew of interesting tidbits about WandaVision has emerged. Marvel Studios CCO Kevin Feige hinted that there will be a "wealth of rewards" for longtime MCU fans, potentially teasing that there will be notable references to the Infinity Saga.
On top of that, the sitcom aspect of WandaVision was guided by veteran Dick Van Dyke, and it was also revealed that the MCU series was filmed in front of a live audience to further grasp the small screen feel of the show. And now, a new batch of stills from the Disney+ series has surfaced online.
Empire released two new stills from WandaVision, showcasing Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany's Vision inside the show's sitcom-based alternate reality.
The first image shows Wanda and Vision talking to each other while they are in bed.
The second image features WandaVision director Matt Shakman giving pointers to Olsen and Bettany while shooting.
Jac Schaeffer confirmed that there was a scrapped therapy session scene for Monica Rambeau in 'WandaVision.'
A "For Your Consideration" poster for the Emmy Campaign of 'WandaVision' was revealed.
Elizabeth Olsen believed that Wanda Maximoff "has a tremendous amount of guilt” as she secluded herself from the world after the finale of 'WandaVision.'
While the images don't provide much information, they still give a fascinating preview of the look and feel of WandaVision. Interestingly, a previously-released image shows Wanda and Vision placed in separate beds as well. This reveal goes to show that the couple will somehow experience the normal trajectory of a romantic relationship, seemingly hinting about Wanda's desire for a normal life.
The second image showcases the impressive behind-the-scenes work of WandaVision with Matt Shakman at the helm, with the director giving a piece of advice to the show's lead stars. Olsen and Bettany were both vocal about their "enjoyable" time on the set of WandaVision, and this image presents strong evidence of that.
WandaVision will be the first foray of Marvel Studios on the small screen, and it's clear that the cast and crew worked very hard to deliver a worthwhile experience to fans. Thankfully, it's only a matter of time before fans eventually witness the sitcom-based shenanigans of WandaVision this January.
