Marvel Studios is slowly inching toward completion of filming for its debut mini-series on Disney+, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Only a few more weeks of shooting remain according to various reports, and the team is finally back in Atlanta to finish off the last of what needs to be filmed stateside.
This new mini series is not only set to expand on the stories of the two titular characters, but also introduce new heroes from the comics never before seen on screen. Along with the show’s return to shooting, a new set video has just made its way online as well which shows off one of the newest characters of the franchise.
A new release from the @GAFollowers Twitter page has just revealed a new look inside filming of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier from Atlanta, Georgia, featuring action from Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent. The scene filmed seems to be the same one released in set videos from March 2020 before filming went on hiatus, and all the new angles can be seen in the twelve-second video below:
WHAT THIS MEANS
This short video should be just enough to get fans excited once more for Marvel’s new era of mini-series on Disney+. Even with how far away the action is, seeing Wyatt Russell putting his shield skills in action against an unknown adversary is a great new look into what will happen during the adventures of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. There is also no context as to which side John Walker is fighting for in this scene, which is something to watch out for considering the reported skepticism surrounding him from the show's more established heroes.
Wyatt Russell is set to make his first appearance in the MCU, following in the footsteps of his father Kurt, who portrayed Ego the Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. He joins a cast full of MCU regulars including Emily Van Camp, Daniel Brühl, and series co-stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan.
