The Mandalorian Season 2 is finally upon us and it feels great. The show kicked things off with an incredible first episode, featuring familiar faces and places and also totally new things as well. With Chapter 9: The Marshal out in the world, fans are now looking ahead to the trajectory of this second season.
Absent from Chapter 9 were Cara Dune and Greef Karga, who aided Mando in defeating the Imperial Remnant on Navarro at the culmination of Season 1. But their story is far from over and Mando won't be doing everything by himself. There's a new promotional piece out on Disney's streaming platform, and our old friends have made an appearance...
Disney+ has released a new banner for The Mandalorian Season 2. The piece, reuniting Din Djarin and the Child with Cara Dune and Greef Karga, can be seen below:
WHAT THIS MEANS
The banner looks fantastic. Our heroes all seem ready to go for whatever Moff Gideon has to throw at them, and the innocent Baby Yoda by his protector's side completes the piece. The background with the calm skyline and sun setting from afar creates a very nice tone for what is representative of Season 2.
It won't be long until Cara Dune and Greef Karga return to the action. We've already seen footage of the group reuniting, as well as what looks to be an infiltration of and perilous escape from an Imperial fortress. A good chunk of the shots released in the trailers and TV spots have now been seen in Chapter 9, so whatever happens after this sequence remains completely unknown.
Having Cara and Karga back will be a nice addition to Season 2. While it's impossible to say whether their roles will be infrequent or they'll both be in it for the long haul, there's no doubt that they'll have important parts to play in what's becoming a more and more dangerous journey to bring the Child back to his kind.
