Zack Snyder has spent most of 2020 laying out hints for his upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League, which is currently about three months away from its debut on HBO Max. Teases included discussions of how he will change certain character interactions from the original cut of the movie, as well as removing any trace of replacement director Joss Whedon's work that was shot.

Due to this new cut reportedly being four hours long, Zack Snyder has implied that it will be split into multiple episodes, releasing one after the other on HBO Max.

Some reports have noted that it will be split into four one-hour long portions, and Snyder himself has indicated that the story is separated into six "portions," although it is still unclear whether either of these will come to fruition.

Snyder's latest social media blast, while not giving away any specifics, may keep this idea in consideration.

NEWS

In a new release on his Vero account, Justice League director Zack Snyder posted a black & white picture of Ben Affleck's Batman under the caption "JL Book 1," seemingly teasing the release of the first chapter of his director's cut of Justice League. Affleck's Batman is seen on the outside of a brick building, wearing the suit that he utilized in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Snyder included "How I started" as the caption of his post:

WHAT THIS MEANS

Snyder’s latest release doesn’t give much information to work off of, although the filmmaker has been known to tease elements of his works with cryptic images like this one.

“Book 1” could conceivably mean the first of either four, six or even more parts of Zack Snyder's Justice League, so there is no indication where the Snyder Cut will go in that sense. However, it does hint that it will end up split into multiple portions on HBO Max, as was previously indicated.

The image of Batman could mean that the first part of the Snyder Cut will be focused most on Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne than any of the other members of the Justice League, but there is no confirmation either way. Fans are anxious to find out more details pertaining to the separate parts of Justice League, and the next few weeks should hopefully bring more images like this.

The Snyder Cut of Justice League will release on HBO Max in March 2021.
