Warning - This article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian Season 2.
The Mandalorian Season 2 keeps on surprising fans week after week, and the latest episode of the hit Star Wars show is no different. After an impressive Jedi-focused episode featuring fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian brought back Boba Fett to the forefront, but the famous bounty hunter wasn't alone since he was joined by the returning Fennec Shand from Season 1.
While the episode featured a much shorter runtime from its predecessors, it still managed to elevate the stakes for Mando and Grogu while taking the action to a whole new level. Ahsoka's advice to bring Grogu to Tython to seek another Jedi in the seeing stone seemed simple at first, but the continued pursuit of Moff Gideon and his Imperial forces ultimately derailed Mando's original plan.
And now, following the weekly tradition of every The Mandalorian episode, the first batch of official stills has been released to celebrate the premiere of “Chapter 14.”
Disney+ released official stills from the latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 entitled “Chapter 14: The Tragedy.”
The first image shows an adorable moment between Mando and Grogu while aboard the Razor Crest.
The next still features an amazing shot of the runaway duo as they both try to reach the seeing stone in Tython.
The third image features Mando and Grogu reaching the seeing stone, unaware of the danger that they will soon encounter.
Another fascinating look at the seeing stone is featured in this official still from "Chapter 14."
A lone stormtrooper firing shots against Mando, Fennec Shand, and Boba Fett is showcased in this official still.
Moff Gideon can be seen with an evil smirk in this official image, seemingly hinting that his plans for Grogu will proceed as scheduled after obtaining The Child from Mando.
Just like in previous releases, the first batch of images sdoesn't show the surprising guest stars of “Chapter 14.” Despite that, the images still feature a stunning preview of what “Chapter 14” is all about. As it turns out, the episode is more than just about Grogu's fate in Tython, and a surprising team-up between two iconic characters was finally realized in The Mandalorian's new chapter.
The triumphant return of Boba Fett is further fleshed out in this episode, and it's clear that the bounty hunter didn't skip a beat in reminding fans that he is still in shape years after his apparent death in Return of the Jedi. The return of Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand is also a shocking one, essentially proving various speculations that she is still alive after being killed off from Season 1, and Boba Fett was actually the one who saved her in the final moments of “Chapter 5: The Gunslinger.”
On top of that, the team-up between the trio is a sight to see, but it's clear that Boba Fett remained on top in the eyes of many fans, especially after the bounty hunter's impressive display of fighting skills. Unfortunately, the episode saw Grogu being captured by the Dark Troopers of Moff Gideon, and it's back to square one for Mando to find out how to rescue Grogu from the Imperial forces.
For now, the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2 is a must-see affair, and it will be interesting to witness how it all comes together.
