The Batman: New Glimpse at Robert Pattinson's Hero In Action Revealed for Batman Day

Batman movie

Had all things gone to plan, Robert Pattinson would have made his DC debut in The Batman several months ago. However, several pandemic-induced delays have forced the highly-anticipated release to March 2022 as the editing process continues.

It's almost been a year now since fans saw the first trailer for Matt Reeves' masterpiece as it debuted at DC FanDome in August 2020. With the long-awaited release now just six months away, Warner Bros. is preparing to show off the film once again at its second DC-centric event in October .

But as the world celebrates the annual Batman Day, Matt Reeves has offered up a small sneak peek at the film from his editing room.

New Look of Robert Pattinson's Batman Released

The Batman director Matt Reeves took to Twitter to celebrate Batman Day with a new look at Robert Pattinson's caped crusader firing his iconic grapple gun.

Alongside the newly-released image, Reeves confirmed he is still hard at work in the editing room as he shared his excitement to “share a lot more with you all four weeks from today” during the DC FanDome event:

“Wow, I have been away so long...! Just popping my head out of the editing room for a moment to say [Happy Batman Day]! Can’t wait to share a lot more with you all four weeks from today at [DC FanDome]! (Sorry about the messy desk #LongHours)”

The Batman Quickly Approaches Release

While this obviously isn't the clearest look at Robert Pattinson's caped crusader, it's exciting to see that his early career hero will still be equipped with an arsenal of high-tech gadgets.

Matt Reeves' comments are rather intriguing as they seem to suggest The Batman will be receiving an expansive new look during October's DC FanDome event .

At the time of the first trailer's release, shooting on the Robert Pattinson-led flick was still ongoing, meaning the studio had minimal footage to pick from. With the premiere now only six months away and editing underway, the next trailer ought to include plenty more action as well as better looks at the film's heroes and villains.

The Batman hits theaters on March 4, 2022 while the next trailer will be released during DC FanDome on October 16, 2021 .
