Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the upcoming Disney+ series will deal with the fallout from Clint's past mistakes as Ronin. Aside from that, reports have revealed that the show will also explore the bow-wielding Avenger's mysterious past, marking the first time that it will be showcased on screen.
Renner and Steinfeld will be joined by a stellar cast that includes the likes of Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Fra Fee, Alaqua Cox, and Black Widow's Florence Pugh. In addition, Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin is heavily rumored to return in the series.
Marketing for Hawkeye has been ramping up in the past weeks, mainly because the premiere is inching closer. Now, a new promotional image has surfaced to celebrate its imminent release.
Hawkeye: Jeremy Renner & Hailee Steinfeld Strike a Pose
Marvel Studios officially revealed a brand new Hawkeye poster, showcasing fresh looks at Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop.
Clint Barton and Kate Bishop's Interesting Dynamic
The dynamic between Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop is expected to be front and center in Hawkeye, and this poster previews the upcoming team-up for the two Marvel heroes. The image also shows a new look at Barton and Bishop's super suits, with both of them wearing matching purple-colored costumes.
Hawkeye producer Trinh Tran previously revealed that the annoying and "super energetic" side of Kate would be paired up with Clint's more serious persona, hinting that the partnership would be an intriguing plot point in the series. It will be interesting to find out how the chemistry between the two archers will be tested not just by their enemies, but also by themselves.
Meanwhile, Steinfeld has been vocal about learning archery during her preparation for Hawkeye. While the trailers and promo spot already showcased the actress' bow-wielding prowess, it's worth pointing out that those were only snippets of her talent, meaning that the full might of her archery skills has yet to be revealed.
Throughout Barton's MCU journey, there were a plethora of instances where he showcased his archery skills, and it seems that some or even all of them will be passed on to Kate once the series wraps.
Hawkeye is set to have a two-episode premiere on Disney+ on November 24, 2021.
