Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to make its mark on the movie world as it keeps dominating the box office on a weekly basis. Bringing together stories from the MCU, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy, and Andrew Garfield’s duo of The Amazing Spider-Man films, Marvel Studios’ threequel seemingly did something never thought possible in a superhero outing.

This movie included more than two dozen characters from Spidey movies in and out of the MCU, continuing journeys that were presumed to be over years ago. Thanks to No Way Home's overwhelming success financially and critically, fans began voicing their support to see new additions to the web-slinger's stories in a more present-day setting as well.

Fan campaigns immediately kicked up online supporting the production of Spider-Man 4 for Tobey Maguire and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 for Andrew Garfield, although no plans have been set for either yet. The call for Garfield's threequel just found itself with even more support too, coming straight from the actor behind the MCU's web-slinger.

In an interview with Brandon Davis on ComicBook's Phase Zero Podcast, MCU star Tom Holland shared his support to see Sony Pictures make The Amazing Spider-Man 3.

After co-starring with Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland expressed how much he loved seeing Andrew "make amends with the character and the studio" in his MCU debut. If Sony were to continue Garfield's story in his Amazing Spider-Man solo franchise, Holland offered Garfield his "full support" in the endeavor:

"I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was able to kind of make amends with the character and the studio, you know, to kind of win the general public back. That scene where he saved Zendaya, the fan reactions in the theater was so spectacular. So should Sony decide to do that, they would have my full support, and obviously, so would Andrew."

Holland Here for Garfield's Spider-Man Future

Fan cries for highly-desired movies are nothing new in this day and age, especially after cries like the ones for Zack Snyder's Justice League heralded such successful results. Whether this same thing happens for Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man franchise is a mystery, but it doesn't hurt having the MCU's own Spidey star publicly standing behind the movement.

Holland hasn't been shy about sharing the incredible memories he made with both Maguire and Garfield on the set of No Way Home. After all, Marvel Studios' Spidey veteran gave fans some insight into the group chat he's a part of with both Maguire and Garfield and openly discussed his favorite moments from their five combined solo films.

As for Garfield, fans saw the pure joy and enthusiasm he brought to the MCU as "Peter 3," stepping back into his Spidey costume effortlessly after seven years away from the role. He had the chance to share insight into how his version of the web-slinger continued his journey, and his chemistry with Holland, Zendaya, and more was undeniably impressive.

The big question now is whether these fan calls for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will amount to the film actually being made, especially with Garfield's schedule becoming busier every year. No matter what happens, Holland's support can't be understated with Spidey back in the spotlight for the foreseeable future.
