With promises of cameos from other universes and game-changing effects on the MCU, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness appears set to rival Avengers: Endgame for Marvel's biggest live-action event to date. Many fans seem to have "introduces mutants" on their bingo cards for the highly-anticipated sequel and with Patrick Stewart's X-Men leader Professor X having popped up in the latest trailer, the odds are looking good.

After having two hugely successful solo films in Fox's X-Men world, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will soon be making the jump to the main MCU timeline for his third outing. Deadpool 3 will mark Disney's first venture into R-rated Marvel content, with no release or filming date announced yet as the popular star enjoys a break from acting.

With several years now passed since the Fox-Disney merger closed, fans are convinced the introductions of the X-Men and Fantastic Four are right around the corner. Only time will tell when the Mutants and Marvel's First Family will be joining the MCU, but some eagle-eyed viewers believe they may have spotted the Merc with a Mouth in the latest marketing for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Is Deadpool in the Doctor Strange 2 Poster?

Marvel Studios recently released a new poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, packed with Easter eggs teasing the return of Captain Carter and more.

As fans continue to break down the latest poster, some believe they may have spotted Deadpool in one of the many shards of broken glass.

Many of the other shards do display the movie's heroes, villains, and Multiverse characters, although at this time it's hard to be certain if that is Ryan Reynolds' hero or just a coincidentally similar alignment of pixels.

The shape of the elusive figure does appear to bear some resemblance to one famous promotional image of Ryan Reynolds' hero for the original Deadpool movie.

When compared, the image does appear to somewhat align, with Deadpool's famous black and white eyes being the most distinctly visible features.

Will Deadpool Cameo in Doctor Strange 2?

There's no way to tell with any certainty whether that is Deadpool in the latest poster for Doctor Strange's Multiverse-hopping sequel. Typically, one would assume Marvel Studios would look to keep a cameo of that magnitude quiet, but with Patrick Stewart's Professor X having just appeared in the official trailer, anything is possible.

Most of the other Easter eggs packed into this poster appear to be rather prominent and visible - such as the Ultron Bots and Captain Carter's broken shield. Meanwhile, the supposed Deadpool shard is extremely blurry and pixilated, so this probably isn't intended to be Ryan Reynolds' Mutant.

But there still remains a reasonable chance of Deadpool popping up in the Multiverse flick. Stewart's Professor X appearing has already reintroduced one character from the Fox universe and with Reynolds' Deadpool 3 expected to take place in the MCU, it stands to reason this could be the film to bring him over.

But a fourth-wall-breaking character like Deadpool doesn't necessarily need a crazy Multiverse event to bring him into the MCU. Perhaps the opening of Deadpool 3 could simply see him jumping ship from his own universe into the MCU with a quick throwaway line, leading to Avengers cameos and more chaos.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6, 2022. Deadpool 3 has yet to receive a release date, while some rumors indicate filming could begin by the end of the year.
