Richard Nebens holds a position as The Direct's Senior Writer. 

Richard first joined The Direct in March 2020 and plays a big role in the site's day-to-day operations by writing, editing, ideating, and posting multiple articles daily, helping readers keep up with the latest from every fandom. He started his writing career in July 2019 with MCU Exchange and worked as a writer/podcast host with The Illuminerdi from 2020 to 2022, also writing/podcasting with Agents of Fandom.

Prior to joining The Direct, Richard worked a variety of jobs, including as a bellman, valet, photographer, and escape room manager, later going on to own a brewery/sports bar in South Lake Tahoe, California. Richard earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Business/Management from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, as part of the class of 2013.
