It is all but guaranteed at this point that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will both be starring alongside Tom Holland's Spider-Man in some capacity—by far the worst-kept secret in Hollywood. However, the rumors of their return had stewed long enough that, when promoting Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland began poking fun at fan expectations.
Pre-orders for No Way Home tickets recently went live, which immediately resulted in several theater websites like Regal and Cinemark crashing due to the influx of demand to the frustration of fans. But those crashes didn't stop scalpers from selling tickets online for thousands of dollars or people having physical altercations over tickets.
Holland himself found humor in the feverous excitement of fans by reposting a viral tweet about those same dedicated Spider-Man fans buying tickets.
Tom Holland Posting Tobey Maguire Meme
In the chaos of fans vying to pre-order tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home, actor Tom Holland reposted a popular tweet on his Instagram account focused on Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man from Twitter user @sp_ceii.
The humorous tweet reads as:
Me: can i get a ticket?
"for what movie?"

Sony Barely Hiding Maguire & Garfield Now
The release of Spider-Man: No Way Home is only two weeks away, but fans who have paid attention to leaks and marketing material already know that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return as the web-slingers.
It seems like Holland himself isn't being subtle anymore when reposting a Sam Raimi meme to his 50 million followers. It's only a matter of time before Sony eventually releases an even more incriminating TV spot indicating both actors' return just before the film releases to really grab the general audience's attention.
Until then, fans will have to wait to see Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters on December 17, 2021.
