WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the MCU's Phase 4, including Black Widow.
Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 has set up exciting new stories from every corner of the MCU both on Disney+ and in theaters, already introducing characters that fans want more of in the future.
Thankfully, Marvel is already delivering on this front with examples like Black Widow, which recently ended the MCU's two-year theatrical drought with its arrival in theaters and on Disney+. The post-credits scene of this film featured the big screen debut for Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine picking up right where she left off in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Other projects from 2021 like Loki and WandaVision brought the starts for other fan-favorite characters playing key MCU roles, highlighted by top-shelf actors like Kathryn Hahn. After her nine-episode run in WandaVision, Agatha Harkness made quite the impact on the MCU fandom and left fans wanting more after Wanda seemingly trapped the villainous witch in Westview.
As it turns out, Marvel Studios' leader wants her character to come back into the fold as much as anybody.
AGATHA ALL ALONG...AGAIN!
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke with Rotten Tomatoes about a potential return for Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness after her debut in 2021's WandaVision.
When asked when fans can expect to see Hahn again, Feige revealed that it will be "someday soon." Not giving any specifics, the MCU's top executive admitted that her comeback "can't come soon enough:"
"Someday. Someday soon. You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way."
AGATHA NOT DONE YET
With fans desperately waiting to find out when Kathryn Hahn's villainous witch will come back to the MCU, it's nice to know that the franchise's fearless leader is looking forward to it as well.
While Harkness is definitively alive by the end of WandaVision, there's no telling where she may return unless she finds a way to regain her magical abilities and find her way out of New Jersey. However, there seems to be a good chance that she'll have a fairly substantial role in whatever project she returns in considering Hahn's star-power and fan appeal.
The biggest question that remains is this: where exactly could Agatha Harkness show up next?
With her magical abilities and clear ties to Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch could decide to bring her back for a chance at redemption in next year's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Although she's already finding plenty of firepower with the Sorcerer Supreme and America Chavez, amongst possible others, Agatha is quite the powerful ally should she find herself on the right side of the fight against Shuma Gorath.
Other supernatural entires like Blade could also serve as an avenue for her return, as could a second season of Loki once it's officially confirmed. No matter where her return comes, fans will be on the lookout after she stole the show in her 2021 debut on Disney+.
All nine episodes of WandaVision are available to stream on Disney+.
