Warning — This article contains spoilers for the fourth episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier .

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is filled with interesting twists and turns as the show enters its second half. After returning from the Blip, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes are trying to navigate life without their best friend, Steve Rogers, but the introduction of a new Captain America in the form of John Walker is making it harder.

The first three episodes of the hit Marvel series established the partnership of Sam and Bucky while also bringing back important characters such as Sharon Carter and Zemo. Those installments also established the threat of the Flag Smashers , but it seems that the group is comprised more of anti-heroes than full-blown villains.

With so much to unpack, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is setting the stage for a grand showdown between the titular heroes, John Walker, and the Flag Smashers, and the fourth episode appears to have already placed the dominoes to fall for that battle to unravel.

Now, a stunning look at the latest episode has surfaced.

A THRILLING FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER EPISODE

Disney officially released seven new images from the fourth episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier entitled “The Whole World is Watching,” featuring several memorable moments of the latest installment.

Bucky tries to stop John Walker and Lemar Hoskins from interfering with Sam's plan to talk Karli Morgenthau down in this official still from the series.

Emily VanCamp's Sharon Carter returns in the episode by helping Sam and Bucky to track down Captain America through her own satellite (yes, really). Could this serve as another piece of evidence that she is the Power Broker?

Erin Kellyman's Karli Morgenthau mourns the loss of Mama Donya in this official still from the action-packed installment.

John Walker appears shocked in this image, with the character seemingly in awe of the raw strength of the Flag Smashers.

John Walker looks as menacing as ever in this image, which is fitting since it was taken moments after he murdered a member of the Flag Smashers in front of civilians. If anything, this still is a reminder of a harrowing moment from the episode.

In addition to the officially released stills, Marvel Studios also posted a promo for the fourth episode to hype fans up.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR JOHN WALKER?

These images provide a general overview of what transpired in the latest installment of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Every episode has its own standout character, and John Walker takes that mantle in “The Whole World Is Watching.”

After being introduced at the tail-end of the debut episode, Walker's goal is to live up to the original Captain America, Steve Rogers, but it's clear that won't be easy. Ever since that moment, Walker has tried his best to gain the approval of Sam and Bucky, but unfortunately, he still hasn't.

Throughout his Captain America journey, Walker's guide and moral anchor is Lemar Hoskins. However, due to the untimely death of Hoskins in the episode, it seems that Walker's humanity died alongside his friend, as evidenced by his rampage that led to the public execution of one of the Flag Smashers.

It remains to be seen how the government will react to the recent actions of their Captain America, but it's safe to say that there will be consequences. Given that Sam and Bucky also saw what happened, it looks like they found a valid reason to take the shield from Walker, but this will be made difficult due to his super soldier-infused upgrade.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier still has two episodes left, and there are unanswered questions such as Zemo's whereabouts and Sharon's mysterious high-profile life in Madripoor. This is on top of a new threat in the form of a super-powered Walker.

The final stretch of the series is shaping up to be a must-see, and it will be interesting how Sam and Bucky will resolve everything.
