Elizabeth Olsen helped to kick off the MCU's Phase 4 on Disney+ at the start of last year with WandaVision, her first-ever leading effort for Marvel Studios as Wanda Maximoff. Teaming up with Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, the show became an instant success, all while setting Wanda on her path towards her movie comeback in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Hahn's Agatha Harkness stole the show at every turn during her run in WandaVision, highlighted by her Emmy-winning musical number "Agatha All Along" in Episode 7 as she revealed herself to be the show's main villain. She even gave Wanda insight into the legend of the Scarlet Witch through the Darkhold, which pushed the show's leading heroine to fully embrace that side of her personality during her final battle with Agatha.
Now, after that encounter between two of the MCU's most powerful witches, Wanda takes on her biggest role in an MCU movie yet as she enters Stephen Strange's world, which is filled with its own kind of magic and sorcery. To help celebrate the debut of Doctor Strange 2, Disney+ shared one of Agatha and Wanda's key moments together from the MCU's first Disney+ exclusive.
Disney+ Promotes Agatha for Doctor Strange 2 Release
Disney+'s official Twitter page shared a GIF of Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness from WandaVision at the start of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' first weekend in theaters.
The GIF showed Agatha from Episode 8 of WandaVision as she told Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff "I have a theory, but I need more," which was right before the two went back to Wanda's memory of her and Vision at the Avengers compound.

A Tease for Agatha's Doctor Strange Connections?
WARNING: The rest of this article contains spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Kathryn Hahn is already primed to return to the MCU in the not-too-distant future, with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige having said that she can't come back to her role soon enough. As for why she specifically was utilized to help promote Doctor Strange 2's theatrical release, there are certainly a couple of feasible options.
Agatha was the character that initially introduced the Darkhold to the MCU, as it was shown for a moment in Episode 7 of WandaVision before she fully explored its pages in Episode 9. Then, it became one of the key items to pay attention to during the Doctor Strange sequel as its pages and spells deeply influenced Wanda and pushed her down a darker path than ever before.
This could tie back to how the Darkhold was destroyed in Doctor Strange 2, which may have an influence on Hahn's confirmed Agatha: House of Harkness series coming to Disney+ in the next few years. There are no plot details confirmed for that show yet, although that could open a path for Wanda to return to the fold following her supposed death on Mount Wundagore in the latest MCU theatrical film.
No matter what this use of Agatha on social media means, her ties to Wanda run as deep as anyone as the Scarlet Witch moves forward in her Marvel adventures.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters worldwide.
