WandaVision is still finishing filming before its release in either November or December , and fans are still learning more about the show before production has even finished. This includes aspects such as S.W.O.R.D. playing a bigger part in the show than anyone realized, beyond it being the excuse to give Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau superpowers like in the comics.

Despite the cast still filming elaborate scenes for the show , news is still coming out about the growing cast of characters, some of which were actually known for several weeks, unbeknownst to fans...

NEWS

Three weeks ago, Asif Ali implied his involvement with WandaVision , further confirmed by Deadline's Justin Kroll .

WHAT THIS MEANS

Asif Ali is a stand-up comedian and actor who has been on various shows over the years, providing his voice for BoJack Horseman and Star Trek: Lower Decks . Ali also had more significant roles in shows like Wrecked and Mr. Robinson . It is unknown what kind of role Asif Ali will have in the show, considering he also appeared in The Mandalorian in a very minor capacity.

Super fans will know that Asif Ali has had a previous role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, his casting in WandaVision doesn't mean that it will be for the same character. His last romp in the MCU was on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a minor role as a man forced to work with Cybertek in the final episode of the first season, way back in 2014.

It is incredibly doubtful that Asif Ali will be playing the same character he played in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in WandaVision six years later. Although, it'd be funny if he happened to be a minor character working for S.W.O.R.D. as a scientist with no name being given to him, just to keep fans guessing. Asif Ali is likely playing a completely new character for WandaVision .
