Marvel Studios is in the midst of getting nearly two dozen projects ready to release to the public, all of them in various stages of development/production. Included in next year's expansive slate is Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder , which will mark the first time any MCU hero has starred in a fourth solo movie within the franchise.

Shooting for Chris Hemsworth's eighth starring appearance with Marvel Studios is well underway in the actor's home country of Australia , where the team is working to make one of the biggest solo outings in MCU history. The God of Thunder will have more back-up in this movie than any of his three previous standalone films, including the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jane Foster's Mighty Thor amongst a host of others.

Throughout the filming process, Waititi has given regular updates from the set, mostly with pictures of himself with the cast and crew. He's also shared looks at his family on set with him, which continued in his latest post...

WAITITI SHARES A FAMILY POST

In his latest Twitter post, Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi posted three images of himself from the movie's set along with his five-year-old daughter. The two are shown looking at the camera monitors on set and spending some quality time together, which can be seen in the three photos below:

The two here are sharing a touching moment as they touch foreheads and look into each others eyes lovingly. The "awww"'s can be heard all across social media looking at this image.

The background behind them looks to be some kind of galactic setting with stars in the distance, although it's hard to decipher a specific planet or terrain that's being shown. Only time will tell.

A FAMILY MAN THROUGH AND THROUGH

This is the second post of this nature from Waititi in the last few days after reuniting with his daughters on set over the weekend. It's clear that even while he works hard to bring his next MCU feature to life, his first priority will always be taking care of his girls and being the best father he can possibly be.

While this familial bond is firmly present behind the scenes of the MCU's 29th movie, that same feeling has notably been absent for large portions of the Thor franchise since it started in 2011. With both of the titular character's parents having died in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok , and with Loki's status for the film in question , Thor will have to rely heavily on his relationships with the many non-blood-related companions he's compiled over the years.

It will still likely be some time before filming is complete, but these updates from Waititi certainly help things go by that much more quickly . With no timeline on when filming for the fourth Thor film will finish, fans eagerly wait to see when and how often the director's posts make fans' days brighter.

Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Chris Hemsworth with an absolutely stacked cast , will debut in theaters on May 6, 2022.
