Chris Hemsworth's fourth solo film, Thor: Love and Thunder , has been in production for months and comes out on May 6, 2022. Director Taika Waititi is back after Thor: Ragnorak , and Natalie Portman will reprise her role as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor in the upcoming MCU film.

It has also been confirmed that the Guardians of the Galaxy will play some role in the film after last being seen on board with Thor at the end of Avengers: Endgame .

Waititi has previously shared set photos of his children from Love and Thunder. The first barely offered any glimpse at a possible location for the film , but the second set of photos teased the galactic setting of the film .

Waititi recently shared another image from the set that gives fans their best look yet behind-the-scenes of Thor: Love and Thunder .

NEW THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER SET PHOTO

Taika Waititi has shared another photo from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder , showing one of his children in timeout with the caption, "Time out G #AttitudeAdjustment #SetLyfe."

More importantly, the photo features a large rocky floor and a surrounding blue screen for computer graphics that will be added in post-production.

NEW PLANET IN THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER?

One of the more interesting moments in previous Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy films has been the introduction of other planets besides Earth. Sakaar from Thor: Ragnorak became a character of its own, and Peter Quill's dad, Ego, was a literal planet himself in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 .

Thor: Love and Thunder is gearing up to feature a lot of action when Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, and possibly even Russell Crowe as Zeus team up to take down Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher. Could this be the first look at Gorr's home planet?

Upon closer inspection of the photo, the rocky flooring is shaped in hexagons, pointing to this being an alien-made terrain instead of natural ground. This could be inside Gorr's sanctum, and the surrounding walls could become incredibly large columns or any other decor that wasn't worth making practically.

The size of this set appears to be rather big which could point to a part of this scene featuring an action sequence. It's incredible to see what Marvel Studios has done on similar sets like this in films such as Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame .

Find out what trouble Thor's gotten himself into next when the Chris Hemsworth-starring Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on May 6, 2022.
