Marvel Studios will certainly fulfill its usual quota of blockbuster productions within Phase 4. However, the studio is also utilizing the MCU's established popularity to try many experimental things, such as a reality-bending sitcom, a time-traveling crime thriller, and even a half-hour legal comedy .

She-Hulk will introduce the world to Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner's cousin who gains many of his superpowers after a blood transfusion. Walters will be played in the series by Orphan Black 's Tatiana Maslany and joined by Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, as well as Tim Roth's Abomination.

With filming having begun back in April, the production is well underway as it prepares for a 2022 premiere on Disney+. Little is known regarding the plot of the series, although a recent rumor has indicated that it may feature more villains than was previously expected.

THE WRECKING CREW IN SHE-HULK?

In a recent report, The Cosmic Circus' Lizzie Hill has exclusively revealed that Marvel Comics supervillain team The Wrecking Crew is set to make its MCU debut in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series.

In Marvel Comics, Dirk Garthwaite aka The Wrecker was given an enchanted crowbar by Karnilla the Norn Queen after being mistaken for Loki. During a stay in prison, Garthwaite managed to regain his magical weapon and asked three other inmates to hold onto it before being struck by lightning, turning them into The Wrecking Crew.

While the line-up of the team has varied since it made its debut in 1974, the primary members have usually included Wrecker, Piledriver, Bulldozer, and Thunderball. There's yet to be confirmation of which version of the crew will appear in the She-Hulk series.

The Wrecking Crew aren't the most famous of Marvel's villainous teams in the comics, yet they have been pitted against numerous teams and individual heroes like the Avengers, the Defenders, the X-Men, the Runaways, Spider-Man, and She-Hulk herself. The crew is perhaps best known for their role in the 2010 animated series, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes .

WHO IS THE MAIN VILLAIN OF SHE-HULK?

Starring Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk herself, Jennifer Walters, the upcoming Disney+ series will be Marvel Studios' first dip into the legal world. The series' first season is set to include ten half-hour comedic episodes as Walters juggles her legal career in the courtroom and a superhuman lifestyle.

So far, the series seems to be introducing an expansive line-up of villains for She-Hulk to take on head-to-head, both on the streets and in the courtroom. Currently, the only non-villainous character confirmed to appear is Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, who is Jennifer's cousin in Marvel Comics and a key player in her origin story.

During Disney's December Investor Day, Kevin Feige confirmed Tim Roth's Abomination, who last appeared in 2008's The Incredible Hulk , will return in She-Hulk . Since then, it's been revealed that the Hulk villain will also return in this year's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings , so it's unclear what kind of role he is being set up for in the MCU after a thirteen-year absence.

Additionally, it was recently revealed that The Good Place star Jameela Jamil will play frequent She-Hulk villain Titania within the series , a former wrestler will the superstrength and fighting ability to rival Walters' abilities.

With the highest episode confirmed yet for a live-action Marvel Studios Disney+ series, She-Hulk may opt to follow a villain of the week approach. Through this format, Jennifer Walters could take on another minor comic antagonist each week, building towards a final showdown with Titania.

This would be an excellent way for the cinematic universe to introduce some lesser-known villains who would otherwise never get the blockbuster treatment.

More ought to become known about She-Hulk as it moves closer to the long-awaited 2022 premiere, exclusively on Disney+.
