As the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets back in full swing making their new slate of movies and TV shows, a steady stream of behind-the-scenes footage and news is starting to flood the internet. This has included exciting releases of brand new trailers along with dozens of social media posts sharing progress updates on where all of these new projects stand in terms of production.
One of the more recent major productions to start working is Sony and Marvel Studios's Spider-Man 3, which has spent much of the last month as a headliner thanks to some shocking casting announcements and videos confirming the start of shooting in the near future. While nobody knows exactly what will happen in the plot of this third MCU Spidey film, all the news that has come teases possibly the web-slinger's most exciting big screen adventure in history, which is pushed further along by a social media post from one of the movie's biggest stars
NEWS
In a new story on his personal Instagram account, Spider-Man 3 star Jacob Batalon shared his initial reaction to reading the script for his latest appearance in the MCU. Along with the caption "Me reading the script like...," and including a few emojis representing his shock and awe, all he could say in the seven second video was "NO!" after having his hand over his mouth.

WHAT THIS MEANS
Although Jacob Batalon is one of the movie's biggest stars, as well as likely one of its biggest promoters, this is still a fun and exciting video to hype up the fan bases of both the MCU and Spider-Man. Batalon has played a key role as Peter Parker's best friend and confidant Ned Leeds in the first two installments of the franchise, and it will be interesting to see just how much he helps the young wall-crawler through what should be the most trouble he's seen in any of his solo films.
The only plot details known so far about Spider-Man 3 involve Peter Parker dealing with the fact that the entire world now knows his secret identity thanks to JK Simmons' J. Jonah Jameson and that both Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange and Jamie Foxx's Electro will both be involved in some capacity. With no official plot details, or even a title for the movie, it's still a complete mystery what kind of challenges Peter Parker will have to face and endure, but there are absolutely no doubts that it will be a monumental film in both his own franchise and the MCU as a whole.
The untitled Spider-Man 3 will likely begin production in the very near future in Atlanta, GA, and the movie is set for global release in theaters on December 17, 2021.
