After Doctor Strange's Multiverse-filled adventure, the next big-screen offering from Marvel Studios is Thor: Love and Thunder. The upcoming sequel will be the fourth solo movie of Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder, the first for any MCU hero. The Marvel veteran will team up once again with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, with the film bringing back old and new allies such as most of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Korg, King Valkyrie, and the returning Jane Foster.
While marketing has yet to ramp up for Love and Thunder, online discussion about the movie has mainly focused on its trailer as it hadn't been released yet, breaking an MCU record previously held by Incredible Hulk to become the Marvel Studios movie with the shortest trailer marketing window in the franchise's history.
Still, there has been enough buzz about the movie in the past weeks that boosted the anticipation from fans, such as official merchandise and its press tour.
Now, the wait for the trailer is finally over.
Marvel Finally Unveils Thor 4 Trailer

A Short Yet Exciting Thor 4 Teaser
Even though the teaser is only 90 seconds long, it is still jam-packed with fresh footage that should be enough for fans to speculate about the film's narrative.
Based on what's been revealed, it seems that Thor has had enough of the fighting as he tries to find peace across the galaxy. However, it appears that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be having some trouble with Thor's current state of mind, as evidenced by the footage where he leaves them behind against an unknown threat.
The fact that Thor is a liability rather than an asset in the Guardians' missions could explain why the team will decide to drop him off at New Asgard, kicking off the main plot of the movie.
Meanwhile, the brief shot of Bro Thor's training in the teaser could hint that Love and Thunder will feature the character's training montage to become his normal muscular self again. Thor and Korg being side by side with each other could also serve as a tease that the pair would go on a separate mission at some point in the movie as well.
The first official look at Mighty Thor seems to be during Gorr the God Butcher's invasion of New Asgard. Based on the character's entrance, it's also safe to assume that she would've arrived late and during the height of the battle. Thor's surprising reaction could mean that he is unaware that his ex-girlfriend can now wield Mjolnir.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to premiere in theaters on July 8.
