Spider-Man: No Way Home is inescapable in the comic book world right now. The MCU Spidey threequel hits theaters in a matter of weeks, yet much is still unknown about the project, so the Marvel faithful are hungry for any tidbit of information.
While a debut trailer and newly-released poster confirmed appearances of villains from the webhead's past movie franchises, the biggest question mark surrounding the title is whether it will feature former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
If the two additional Peter Parkers are in fact in the film, it is likely they are to be teased in the yet-to-be-released second No Way Home trailer. Fans have been waiting for this second tease, and the word was that it would debut after Morbius unveiled new footage.
Well, Leto's vampire has had his time in the online sun, so where is the No Way Home trailer?
When Will Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer 2 Finally Release?
According to CinemaBlend's Sean O'Connell, the second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer will "NOT drop on Monday, November 15."
The author-writer tweeted from the account promoting his upcoming official Spider-Man book, titled With Great Power, that he's received word that the rumblings of No Way Home's second trailer are untrue:
"The second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer will NOT drop on Monday, November 15. That’s what I’m hearing. Do with that what you will!"
This is in response to the MCU collective fanbase having recently talked itself into the idea that the new teaser will drop on November 15.
O'Connell emphasized his sentiments, further enforcing that the trailer will release "after November 15."
He followed that up with the clarification that the second trailer for No Way Home could come as soon as a day later than November 15, but he has received strong confirmation that the new teaser will come no sooner than that:
"'Not November 15' could mean "later that same week." This Spider-Man: No Way Home advertising campaign has been fluid and unpredictable."
A Long Wait for a Spider's Bite
Sadly, this is not the news fans will want to hear. And if you're wondering how credible Sean O'Connell really is with information like the release date of a Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, you can review just how accurate the writer has been with Spidey marketing calls...
Recently, O'Connell was seen tweeting an hour-by-hour breakdown of the No Way Home marketing plan, leading into the official poster reveal. Looking at this, it is obvious he has a source closely involved in the marketing of Sony Pictures' No Way Home who is providing him tidbits on the film.
The only reason fans have attached themselves to this November 15 date for the Tom Holland threequel is because of a recent trend of Marvel Studios debuting new trailers on Mondays. Not a lot of hard evidence to work with there.
One thing to watch with this "Trailer Monday" theory, though, is the Sony-sized elephant in the room. It is not just Kevin Feige and company making marketing decisions on this Spidey outing.
For example, just look at Morbius! The Jared Leto-led Spidey spin-off just dropped its own universe-bending sneak preview on a Tuesday, so who is to say it could not be Tuesday the 16th that fans see the new No Way Home teaser?
There are too many variables to play for fans to confidently predict when they will get their next taste of that sweet Spider-Man: No Way Home nectar. It seems that it will be at least late November before audiences get another taste of the wallcrawler's third MCU solo outing.
One thing is for sure though (knock on wood), No Way Home will hit theater screens worldwide on December 17.
