Natalie Portman, Thor Love and Thunder Look Jane Foster

2022 is here, which means Thor: Love and Thunder are close on the horizon. The latest theatrical adventure featuring Marvel Studios' God of Thunder is set to debut in July and looks to be the most epic solo outing for Chris Hemsworth's Asgardian to date. The film will not only mark the return for director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), but also Natalie Portman as Jane Foster from the first two Thor films.

Portman has been absent from the MCU since last appearing in Thor: The Dark World but is back in the fold in Love and Thunder, picking up the hammer herself as her Jane Foster becomes the fan-favorite comic character, Mighty Thor.

Not much is known about Jane's ascension to superherodom in the upcoming film, but recent leaks have shown off what she could be wearing in this intergalactic Norse epic.

A Good Look at Love and Thunder's Jane Foster

Twitter user BR Marvel News uncovered new images of characters from Thor: Love and Thunder, including a detailed look at Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor.

The concept art features Portman's Jane Foster in full Asgardian armor, wielding what seems to be Thor's reassembled hammer Mjolner.

While looking very different than Mighty Thor's comic costume, Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor costume in the MCU still looks fantastic and we can't wait to see it in action!

Natalie Portman's Time to Suit Up

Fans have been excited at the prospect of Jane Foster as Mighty Thor coming to the big screen, but now, this image will surely send them into even more of a frenzy. The costume looks eerily similar to the one Chris Hemsworth's Thor wore in his debut MCU film but also features notes of the Mighty Thor look seen on the comic page.

Thus far in Phase 4, Marvel Studios has been on a spree of bringing comic-accurate hero looks to the big and small screen and they seem to be continuing that with Mighty Thor's looks in Love and Thunder.

While there have been small changes like included the six small circles that have been seen in many of Thor's MCU looks, the major comic standards are all here. The most notable of these comic inspirations is in the helmet. Hemsworth's Asgardian has opted to neglect the helmet that can be seen on classic iterations of the character in the comics, but Jane Foster is taking a different tact

Mighty Thor's iconic winged headpiece is here, and it looks spectacular. From this small concept piece, it is not hard to tell that this costume topper will be something to behold on the big screen when Love and Thunder debuts in July. That chrome dome will be shining bright, and it will be glorious.

Another talking point from the Jane Foster Thor look is the inclusion of Thor's ancient hammer. In Thor: Ragnarok, fans saw Thor's long-lost sister Hela decimate the classic hammer, shattering it into pieces. And yes, Hemsworth's Thor did get Mjolnir back in Avengers: Endgame, but this hammer that Jane Foster is wielding seems to be the original that was shattered during Asgards fall.

So how does Natalie Portman's hero recover this ancient relic? And how does she go about piecing it back together like it is seen in the image above?

Thor Love and Thunder Costume Leaks Have Come

With Natalie Portman's costume leak has also come additional costume leaks for other cast members of Thor: Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth's Thor costume has also leaked recently, revealing his new, more cosmic, look for the Thor sequel.

Tessa Thompson also recently shared a selfie of her in the new Valkyrie armor for Thor 4 that shows off her new stunning costume.

An additional poster featuring Korg, Thor's Goats, and a different Thor costume was also leaked last month that gives a great feel for the tone that Taika Waititi is taking for the sequel.
