Tom Hiddleston's Loki died during Avengers: Infinity War, but his story is far from over. During Avengers: Endgame, an alternate version of the God of Mischief escaped with the Tesseract due to a Time Heist mishap, ultimately leading to the birth of his own spinoff series in the form of Loki.
The show is set immediately after the events of Endgame, and it follows the adventures of the Asgardian throughout time. This was due to him being apprehended by the Time Variance Authority, an organization that is tasked to protect the so-called Sacred Timeline.
Three episodes in, Loki is currently at its midpoint, and it seems poised for a game-changing conclusion when it's all said and done. It was revealed that the TVA is going after another Loki Variant in the form of Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie, but not everything is what it seems due to a big reveal during the third chapter of the series.
To recap, Sylvie casually mentioned that all of the TVA employees are Variants, leaving Loki confused as to what other secrets the time-based organization is keeping from him.
Now, the ramifications of that reveal are expected to be the core of the storyline in the last episodes, and the first sneak peek of them has arrived.
MOBIUS REUNITES WITH LOKI IN NEW TRAILER
Marvel Studios officially released the mid-season trailer for Loki, giving fans a glimpse of how the narrative will play out in the last three episodes of the Tom Hiddleston-led series. This includes reuniting with Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius during the tail-end of the series.
Several shots of the destruction of Lamentis were included in the trailer alongside a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene showing Loki and Sylvie holding hands in the face of chaos.
Loki and Sylvie appear to be facing an unknown threat (presumably the TVA) in this brief shot from the trailer.
A pirate ship, which was also unveiled in a previous promo, is once again included in this trailer, potentially teasing that this is a major location in one of the later episodes of Loki.

TOM HIDDLESTON RETURNS TO THOR 1 SETTING
The latest trailer is packed with exciting Loki footage that will be sure to boost the hype for the remaining episodes of the series. The promo also included a good chunk of scenes from the first three episodes, serving as a reminder of what went down in the show's complicated storyline.
Based on what's been revealed, it appears that the runaway pair of Sylvie and Loki will be saved (or apprehended) at the last minute in Lamentis by Mobius and the TVA. This essentially confirms that Mobius found a way to track them down, and it's reasonable to assume that he might have used Loki's tip about finding the Variant in apocalypses.
A mysterious shot of Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Judge Renslayer is also showcased, and it appears that a face-to-face with the Time-Keepers is in the cards in the next batch of episodes. There's a strong chance that this would give fans an idea of the true nature of the TVA.
The much-anticipated reunion of Mobius and Loki will definitely be a sight to see, and the pair's dynamic will once again be pushed to the forefront as early as the next episode. The clip shows off hilarious quips and back-and-forth banter between the two, and it seems that more of those will be part of the last set of installments.
It remains to be seen if the Loki that was featured in Thor's Asgard is a Variant or the same God of Mischief from Endgame. If it is the former, then it seems that this Variant will be King Loki, a version of the trickster who succeeded in taking over the throne of Asgard.
This opens up more possibilities for other Loki Variants to show up, thus cementing the idea that an appearance from President Loki and Richard E. Grant's Old Loki is on the horizon.
The first three episodes of Loki are now streaming on Disney+.
