Warning - This article contains spoilers for Episode 2 of Loki.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were shown a whole new world with the TVA and how the timeline actually works in this franchise. At least, that is according to a temporal organization that works to maintain a "sacred" timeline, whatever that might actually be.
The end of the last episode of Loki, "The Variant," ended with the God of Mischief making the questionable decision to follow the Variant, something which he might soon find to regret according to a new trailer for the series.
PIRATE SHIP AND ALIEN SAUCER IN LOKI
A new trailer for Loki has been released, much of it being the same footage that fans have seen before. However, there are two distinctly new shots from the Disney+ series.
One shows a decrepit ship from the 19th century that's somehow run aground in the middle of a forest, along with what appears to be a classic flying saucer embedded into the planet's surface. Both look to have been there, untouched, for centuries until Loki arrives.
The second new shot is Loki without his TVA jacket, seemingly in the same location as he witnesses the bizarre juxtaposition of these objects. This was likely caused by the Variant Loki bombing the Sacred Timeline.

LOKI LOST IN TIME
It seems like Loki will soon regret blindly running after Sophia Di Martino's mysterious Variant at the end of the last episode. It appears that in this new trailer, Loki loses his way at some point, dirtied and without his TVA jacket.
It's uncertain whether the timeline Loki finds himself on is simply another timeline or the result of the Variant's machinations against the TVA and the Time-Keepers. It will be interesting to see if Loki manages to find a way to travel between timelines without a Tempad like Martino's character.
Loki releases weekly on Disney+ every Wednesday.
