Batman is one of the most iconic superheroes in the DC universe, which is probably why there's a whole day dedicated to the hero. September 18 marks Batman Day, and tributes are pouring out on social media in celebration of The Dark Knight.
The character will next be seen in Matt Reeves' dark reboot The Batman, where he will be portrayed by Robert Pattinson. The team is currently hard at work preparing the new film for its 2022 release, but Reeves still managed to post a sneak peek from the editing room in honor of Batman's special day.
The director isn't the only one who's worked with Batman recently, and both Zack Snyder and Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot shared their own messages for Batman Day on social media.
Zack Snyder and Gal Gadot Celebrate Batman Day
To mark Batman Day, Zack Snyder shared a photo of Ben Affleck in costume as the Caped Crusader on his Vero account.
Snyder also shared a selfie of himself wearing Ben Affleck's cowl, saying "let's be honest if you were left alone with it you would do it too:"
The director also used the special day to promote the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League on Blu-ray, saying on Twitter that "today is the perfect day to run out and grab your copy."
Gal Gadot also joined in the Batman Day fun and shared a behind-the-scenes video from the Justice League set where she can be seen trying on Ben Affleck's cowl for size. She captioned the video on Twitter with "bringing out my inner bat:"

Ben Affleck Has Competition for the Cowl
Ben Affleck has taken on the Batman mantle in three DC films now, but if these posts from his colleagues are anything to go by, he might have some competition for the cowl.
Jokes aside, Affleck is set to don the suit at least one more time in his career. The actor will reprise his role as Batman in Andy Muschietti's The Flash, where he will star alongside another Batman actor, Michael Keaton.
Not too much is known about Affleck's next appearance as Batman, but more information is expected to be revealed during the upcoming DC FanDome event in October.
Snyder's other Batman Day post also highlights the success his film is achieving now that it's been released on Blu-ray. Fans have been waiting for years to see Zack Snyder's Justice League, and now that it has been released on physical media, it is dominating the conversation once again; this is certainly a bonus for Batman Day.
