Marvel Studios is now just over a month away from its return to the big screen with one of the MCU’s biggest films to date: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Featuring a team-up effort for Doctor Strange, Wanda Maximoff, Wong, and countless others, this sequel is set to change everything MCU fans know about the events of Phase 4 thus far.
Now that the release of Doctor Strange 2 is imminent, Marvel Studios is kicking up its efforts for the sequel's massive promotional tour to get fans back to the theaters. With tickets about to go on sale in the not-too-distant future, the MCU epic is quickly becoming the hottest topic in the movie world as the Multiverse gets set to break.
Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch will play as big of a role as anyone in this movie, helping officially tie the movies and Disney+ shows together after her leading efforts in WandaVision. She'll also find herself working with various new characters for the first time, including an unexpected one that just came in the most recent TV spot.
New Doctor Strange Spot Highlights Multiverse
Marvel Studios released a new 30-second video teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which advertised tickets for the film going on sale on Wednesday, April 6.
This spot featured mostly new footage, which showed more of Wanda Maximoff's conversation with Doctor Strange about the impending Multiversal threat. Part of that included Strange looking for help from an Avenger while hinting that Wanda's status as a hero in the public eye could be restored if she helps.
Wong and Wanda also teamed up for a moment as a giant monster loomed behind them roaring. This monster is seen earlier towering over Wong and roaring at him, and it's unclear where its loyalties lie in the grand scheme of the plot.

Scarlet Witch's New Alliances in Doctor Strange 2
With this being the first time that Scarlet Witch has teamed up with Doctor Strange, she'll find herself interacting with plenty of new heroes for the first time in the magical sequel. This includes the newly confirmed Sorcerer Supreme in Wong, who appears next to Wanda for the first time in any shot from any MCU movie to date.
Looking at how closely both characters are connected with Doctor Strange, it seemed inevitable that they would have to meet and work with each other at some point. It's comparable to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War when Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson met through Steve Rogers, eventually leading to their own Disney+ series.
Even for all the power that Wong possesses, he'll be in for a whole new world of crazy next to the Scarlet Witch, who's up there with Strange as one of the MCU's strongest heroes.
While it's unclear how often they'll go to battle together in this movie, this footage confirms that they'll at least have an understanding of how to work alongside one another against Multiversal adversaries. Their relationship will be as interesting as any in this film to watch, especially with only a little over two hours of runtime for the entire story.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will debut in theaters on May 6. Tickets for the sequel go on sale one month earlier on April 6.
