Although it's still unclear whether the next live-action DC film will be canon with the rest of the movies, the hype is slowly building for the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Director Zack Snyder's passion project has gained plenty of steam over most of 2020 after it got the green light to go into production, and it should serve as a way to put the horrible memories of the movie's theatrical release in the past.
The four-hour Synder Cut will breathe new life into DC's premiere superhero team on screen as they take on a new version of challenges that were first presented in the 2017 theatrical cut. These include bringing Henry Cavill's Superman back from the dead along with an introduction to Darkseid and a revamped Steppenwolf.
Darkseid will be a major focus for fans in his first live action appearance, although new images tease something that even the trailers have not to this point.
SNYDER CUT MERCH HIGHLIGHTS DARKSEID'S ARMOR
A new listing on the DC Comics online shop features merchandise with a new look for Darkseid in the Snyder Cut of Justice League. While Darkseid was highlighted in the first trailers for the movie, one image shows him in full armor for the first time. This is also the first official merchandise associated with the Snyder Cut available for purchase.
Darkseid's armor features many scale-like components.
Darkseid's iconic emblem can be seen in red behind him.
A grey t-shirt depicts promo art of Darkseid with the Justice League six.

WHAT THIS MEANS
Darkseid was notably absent from the theatrical cut of Justice League after teases set him up throughout Zack Snyder's previous entries. Considering he's the most notable Justice League villain from the comics, it seems only right that he take on the DC's premiere team of superheroes in their big-screen debut.
The trailers released for this movie have only teased the DCEU big bad for a few seconds, and none of the shots of him have included his classic armor from the comic pages. There are still no details on how much screen time will be dedicated to armored Darkseid, and it could very well end up similar to something like Thanos' brief time covered up in armor at the start of Avengers: Infinity War.
No matter how much time Darkseid spends fully suited up, it will be exciting just to have him on screen in live-action. Zack Snyder has discussed in past interviews how incredibly powerful the alien war-lord is supposed to be, and he will finally have the opportunity to showcase this villainy through the course of the Snyder Cut.
Zack Snyder's Director's Cut of Justice League will make its arrival on HBO Max in March 2021.
