Spider-Man: No Way Home is nearly ready for its in-home digital and Blu-ray release after becoming the biggest blockbuster movie in recent memory. Featuring a villain team-up with five classic antagonists and all three cinematic Spider-Men coming together, this threequel has had fans talking up a storm for most of the last two years.
No Way Home did what no other MCU movie in history had done before by introducing viewers to the Multiverse for the first time on the big screen, all thanks to Doctor Strange's botched spell. This allowed villains and heroes from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's universes to find their way into the MCU alongside Tom Holland, although this was just a tease of what could really be out there.
During the film's climactic final battle, the Multiverse began tearing apart even further, teasing the existence of other villains like Kraven the Hunter and Scorpion from other universes. Now, in a new round of promotional material for the threequel, fans learned about a wild character in this scene that flew completely under the radar.
No Way Home Confirms Man-Spider
Ahead of Spider-Man: No Way Home's digital release on March 15, Sony, via Vudu, released a 53-second video sharing more details about Easter Eggs in the films final minutes, including the silhouettes seen during the Multiverse tear scene.
At the 13-second mark, the video focuses on the outlines of two classic Spidey villains in Kraven the Hunter and Scorpion - Kraven will lead his own solo movie for Sony in January 2023. Alongside them is a silhouette of a man standing on two legs who appears to have six arms.
This featurette seemingly confirms this to be the wild and wacky Six-Armed Spider-Man, who first appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man #100" from 1971. This comic also featured the first appearance for Morbius, the Living Vampire.
In this comic, Peter makes a cocktail of chemicals to try to rid himself of the radiation that gave him his Spidey powers. Instead of eliminating his powers, the concoction increased them exponentially and triggered a mutation where four arms grew from his sides under his two normal arms.
This event came to life in Season 2, Episode 8 of Spider-Man: The Animated Series, taking the storyline from the comics and having Peter experience it in the animated adventure.

Scary Spider-Man Character Teased in the MCU
Even besides the character's creepy look, Six-Armed Spider-Man is quite an interesting addition to the web-slinger's comic legacy.
When the mutation is in its early stages, Peter mostly experiences a great deal of pain as he tries to deal with four new appendages growing out of him. However, the full transformation completes when he becomes a full-blown human/spider hybrid, complete with more eyes, fangs, and furry spider-skin that replaces his human features.
While the animated version isn't strictly a villain, his full metamorphosis into an arachnid could have posed a serious threat to Tom Holland's Peter Parker. It is also just as possible that the six-armed superhero could have been making his way through to lend a couple of hands to Spidey, like Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's versions.
Safe to say, this is one of the craziest versions of Spider-Man seen in any medium, especially seeing even a tease of it in live-action with the Multiverse in play. Whether he's actually utilized in a movie or show is anybody's guess, but Sony and Marvel made sure to dig deep into their bag of characters to use as fans caught a glimpse into other worlds.
Now that No Way Home's digital release is just over the horizon, fans should get much more insight into Easter eggs like this one that are littered throughout the plot. Most likely, they'll be less creepy in nature going forward, although no guarantees can be made on that front.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available via digital release on March 15, and its Blu-ray and DVD launch will arrive on April 12.
