While much of the MCU buzz is centered on the secrecy and multiversal possibilities of December's Spider-Man: No Way Home and 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel's next big film is just as mysterious.

Set to release on November 5, Marvel's Eternals - helmed by the Academy Award-winning director Chloe Zhao - features a star-studded cast portraying immortal, alien heroes who have lived on Earth for centuries. Yet, they are forbidden to interfere in events unless the ancient Deviants are involved.

Despite the film's impending release, that's about the extent of what's known about Eternals, leaving fans to gather what they can from interviews, trailers, and now, a whole new batch of stills from the film.

New Eternals Images Show Salma Hayek & Kit Harington

Disney has released a new collection of images from Eternals featuring Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, and more.

The first image shows Eternals hero Sprite - played by Lia McHugh - along with Gemma Chan's character of Sersi.

Due to the mountain range in the background, Sprite's apparel, and her sunglasses, it looks like this image could be from the scene where the cast meets up with Angelina Jolie's character of Thena in the trailer.

The second image appears to show the same landscape along with what appears to be Gemma Chan's Sersi.

While the natural setting and use of light are reflective of director Chloe Zhao's trademark cinematography, Sersi touching the ground in this scene could be a callback to her touching the ground and using her abilities in the film's original trailer.

This next image featuring Richard Madden as Ikaris isn't exactly new to fans.

Not only was this moment where Ikaris shoots beams from his eyes shown in the film's latest trailer, but this image was also previously shared by Total Film. Interestingly enough, it's the only image in this group of photos that show an Eternal in their costume.

The next still is also similar to a moment from the film's first trailer but from a slightly different angle.

It shows Chan's Sersi along with Kit Harington's Dane Whitman or the Black Knight.

The clothes they're wearing in this scene match those they wear in the film's most recent trailer, where Sersi explains the Eternals and their limitations to Whitman.

Next up is an image of Salma Hayek as Ajak.

It also appears to have been taken from a scene in the latest trailer; but once again, it's from a slightly different angle.

The final image shows Gemma Chan's Sersi looking somewhat confused on a busy city street.

This moment was shown in the first trailer for the Eternals where she's seen in Babylon in those modern-day clothes before her location changes to present-day London.

New Images, Old Footage

While any material from Eternals is appreciated, again, the bulk of these new stills are from scenes audiences have already seen in promotional material.

In the great Marvel tradition, it appears the studio is intent on keeping this film as mysterious as possible. However, considering how different this film - and its characters - appear to be, it will be interesting to see if that's the best course of action.

Fans are already puzzled by the fact the Eternals appeared to interfere in early history but didn't lift a finger when it came to Thanos or the other crises the Avengers grappled with in the past.

Also, these heroes aren't human. Marvel heroes are relatable because they're human - just like the fans - but somewhat burdened with powers, technology, and the responsibility that comes with them.

Since the Eternals are immortal and have possessed these abilities for centuries, it will be interesting to see if and how audiences relate to them.

It's also worth noting that these images, along with those that have been released in the past, show Gemma Chan's Sersi the most. Does this possibly hint at her central role in the upcoming film?

Eternals arrives in theaters on November 5, 2021.
