After fluctuating through various stages of development for over two years, director Zack Snyder is less than two weeks away from bringing his vision for Justice League to the world with Zack Snyder's Justice League. This movie has been in the news stream on nearly a daily basis since it got the green light last spring, and the hype is building to a fever pitch as its release date draws closer.
Over the past few days, promotional material has arrived in rapid-fire fashion in the form of short new trailers focusing on the film's central heroes and villains, including new footage at nearly every turn. Considering the final product is a touch over four hours long, the team behind this epic has more than enough footage to tease without giving away too much of the story.
This continues with yet another look at the Snyder Cut, this one focusing on two of DC's iconic villains.
DARKSEID, JOKER, AND MORE FEATURED IN NEW SNYDER CUT AD
In a release on Twitch, via YouTube, director Zack Snyder released the newest 30-second trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League.
This new footage largely focuses on the movie's big villains in Darkseid and Steppenwolf laying waste to the six core heroes and different worlds.
It also features dialogue from Ray Porter's Darkseid while also centering on new footage from Steppenwolf in battle, Jared Leto's Joker with a joker card in his hand, and Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke.

Taking into account all the action that will feature the six core heroes of the Justice League in the Snyder Cut, the movie will also feature a comparable amount of screen time for classic DC villains brought to life on the big screen. This will be the first appearance in any DCEU movie for Darkseid, but the movie also features three other big bads from movies that haven't enjoyed the luxury of much face time over the past few years.
Jared Leto's Joker was a particularly shocking inclusion in the film's cast after only about ten minutes of action in 2016's Suicide Squad. Snyder seemingly took the opportunity to utilize Leto's talents for a battle-weary Clown Prince of Crime when he was granted a few days of reshoots, and it will be interesting to find out how big of a role he really plays.
Even with Leto causing mayhem alongside Deathstroke and Steppenwolf in this teaser, most of the attention is rightfully on Darkseid as he makes his true DCEU debut. The menacingly deep voice spells out major impending doom for the hero team upon his arrival to Earth, and with a massive army at his disposal, he will certainly be a force to be reckoned with.
Zack Snyder's Justice League will debut on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
