The DC Universe is home to a lot of great superhero teams such as the famous Justice League, the generational Justice Society of America, and the weird but amusing Doom Patrol . These aforementioned team-ups have already been adapted into movies and TV shows, but one intriguing group of heroes has yet to properly debut in live-action format: Justice League: Dark.
Justice League: Dark plays host to supernatural and magical heroes (and sometimes, anti-heroes) of the DC franchise. The team usually consists of John Constantine , Deadman, Zatanna, and Swamp Thing. The supernatural group was heavily featured in the animated realm of the DC Universe, paving the way for the debut of two films: Justice League: Dark and the highly-acclaimed Justice League: Apokolips War .
Back in 2016, Doug Liman was tapped to helm the live-action Justice League: Dark team-up, but he backed out of the project. Still, many fans were curious about the overall outlook of the film. Now, new pieces of concept art have emerged, giving fans a glimpse at some of the designs of the film.

Through several posts from Instagram, freelance illustrator Houston Sharp shared different concept arts from the unfinished Justice League: Dark film.
The first image shows off a unique look at Swamp Thing, depicting the anti-hero in spirit form. The image is accompanied with a caption from Sharp saying, "Doug had the idea of Swamp Thing being a spirit of the swamp, coming into form when a group of arsonists set the plants ablaze:"
Another image that was shared by Sharp provides fans with a full-blown look at Swamp Thing's size while looking upon the group of arsonists:
The last piece of concept art highlights an amusing interaction between John Constantine and Klarion. Sharp shared an interesting tidbit about this art by revealing that Klarion is politely asking "Constantine for a turn with his whore:"
Part of the fun of incorporating a team like Justice League: Dark is the weird and unique vibe that it gives off, and these unused pieces of designs clearly adapt the same element. In addition, the designs also stayed true to the comic book roots of the characters involved. Swamp Thing still has that immense passion in terms of protecting the "green," as he calls it, while Constantine's fun interactions with otherworldly beings are still in play.
While it's clear that this particular version of Justice League: Dark will never see the light of day, it's still interesting to witness a glimpse of the project. The future of the supernatural group under the DCEU's Multiverse approach still remains to be seen, but previous rumors indicate that pieces are slowly coming together.
For instance, a film revolving around Constantine is reportedly in the works , while another project that will be focused on Zatanna is also heavily rumored to arrive soon. These two characters are the main players involved in the magical superhero group, and there's a high chance that a proper Justice League: Dark team-up project is on the horizon.
