Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is poised to explore an emotional adventure for Peter Quill and his team.
Directed by James Gunn, the upcoming MCU threequel will feature the MCU comebacks of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Dave Bautista's Drax, Pom Klementieff's Mantis, Karen Gillan's Nebula, Bradley Cooper's Rocket Racoon, and Vin Diesel's Groot. Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but it is expected that it will focus on the team's search for Gamora.
Aside from the core team, one of the characters that have been confirmed to return is Stakar Ogord, a high-ranking member of the Ravagers played by Sylvester Stallone. The Ravager member was first introduced during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
After attending Yondu's funeral, Ogord was last seen during Vol. 2's post-credits scene where he was reunited with his former teammates, such as Mainframe and Charlie-27.
Now, as Vol. 3 heads into production, a fresh look at Stallone's MCU return has been unveiled.

How Sylvester Stallone's MCU Character Fits in Vol. 3
It is unknown how Sylvester Stallone's Stakar Ogord will fit in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but his latest costume change could hint that the character will likely have a substantial role in the film's narrative.
This is in line with Stallone's previous confirmation that he was in the middle of a 3D facial scan session, strongly suggesting that his character will have larger screentime in Vol. 3 rather than in Vol. 2.
The Guardians may seek the assistance of Ogord's team in their search for Gamora through the cosmos. Ogord and his crew would likely help Quill's Guardians, mainly because of the Guardians' connections with Yondu.
It's also worth pointing out that Kraglin is still with the team, meaning that there's a chance that he could be the key to finding Ogord's crew.
Meanwhile, the updated costume could hint that Ogord's reunion with his crew went according to plan. This could mean that they are doing heroic missions for the galaxy, with the brighter shade signifying a sign to restore hope across the cosmos.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to premiere in theaters on May 5, 2023.
