Although the MCU's immediate future is more than promising, the franchise's later movies are also moving further along in the development process. Included in that mix is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3, the MCU's first confirmed R-Rated project centered around the fan-favorite Merc with a Mouth. The new Deadpool movie recently found its director in Free Guy's Shawn Levy, hopefully indicating more confirmed information will be on the way soon.

One of the biggest questions surrounding the movie is the cast that will surround Reynolds, as Deadpool now finds himself in the same universe as Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz expressed an interest in returning to her role as Domino, while Dopinder actor Karan Soni wasn't as sure if he would be back for Round 3 with Pool-boy.

Thanks to Deadpool's fourth-wall-breaking nature and the comedy sure to come in his third solo movie, fans are already wondering which characters he'll interact with and who will make their mark on the story. This includes actors that are vying for their own potential spot in the MCU, including a pitch from Bella Thorne.

Bella Thorne Vies for Role in Deadpool 3

Actress and singer Bella Thorne spoke with ComicBookMovie about fan casts featuring her as Lady Deadpool in Marvel Studios' upcoming Deadpool 3.

When asked about her interest in superhero movies, Thorne admitted that she "(loves) action stuff" and enjoys those kinds of movies. She discussed how fun it is to do more physical work for her roles rather than just "using your voice":

"Yes, superheroes are definitely fun. I love action stuff, naturally, and I do a lot of action stuff with stunts and whatnot. It’s just always really fun on set and it breaks up the work day when you get to concentrate on the body and feel and how to perform not just using your voice. That’s always really fun for me."

She also called Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool her favorite due to how "raunchy" it is while also praising Reynolds' performance in the role.

"Deadpool is my favorite. It’s so raunchy and, hello, who doesn't love Ryan Reynolds? He just f***ing nails that role to the floor."

Comparing it to Amazon's The Boys, Thorne loves how real Deadpool is while still being deeply embedded in the world of superheroes. Additionally, she threw her own name out there for a potential role in Deadpool 3 when the movie moves further into development:

"What I love about Deadpool is that realism mixed with the, you know, superhero world. It’s something where we feel we can talk to this superhero now in today’s day while still having them be a superhero. I love that shit. Like, The Boys? Love that TV show [Laughs]." Guys! I’m here. Where are you at?"

Could Deadpool 3 Introduce Bella Thorne's Lady Deadpool?

After starting her career as a musician and singer, Bella Thorne has made an impressive transition into the world of acting. Now, her ambitions appear to be even higher as she sets her sights on a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As for the role in mind with Thorne, fans have cast her most often as Wanda Wilson, otherwise known as Lady Deadpool.

This version of the red-suited mercenary comes from an alternate universe, boasting the same powers and weapons as her male counterpart along with a similar sense of humor. She hasn't been utilized or even teased in either of Reynolds' Deadpool movies or most other forms of media, but she'd certainly be a welcome addition to the new comedic MCU franchise.

Now that Deadpool is on his way into the MCU, the franchise has the opportunity to bring new power players into the story other than Colossus, Domino, and Cable. Should Lady Deadpool be in line for an appearance in the threequel, Thorne's name would be one to watch out for in terms of casting.

Deadpool 3 is in the early stages of development for Marvel Studios.
