Marvel Studios is finally ready to move on with their next phase of the MCU after months of production delays and release setbacks. Now that most of their projects are moving forward in filming and pre-production, such as Shang-Chi and Eternals, their television shows are following. And the highly anticipated Disney+ series WandaVision finally has a new trailer, as well as a mind-bending first poster.

WHAT THIS MEANS

The WandaVision trailer that Marvel Studios released was full of the reality-altering effects that Scarlet Witch is known to have in the comics, and the poster is no different. A black and white photo of Wanda Maximoff and a human Vision stand within a rippling image of Scarlet Witch and the superhero Vision.

This poster seems to convey the main conflict of the series, which will be Wanda's battle between the idyllic world of a 1950s sitcom, versus the harsh realities of her life after Avengers: Endgame. Wanda and Vision could never have a normal relationship because they were also tasked with keeping the world safe, and this cost Vision his life.

Wanda's powers had never been used to this extent in the MCU. She had given the Avengers a few nightmare-inducing visions in Age of Ultron, but now her abilities are being taken to a whole new level, and it's exciting to see just how Marvel Studios will handle it all.

How long can Wanda live in this fairytale before the responsibilities and consequences of her role as a super-powered being tears it all down? As is evident by the poster, it definitely won't be forever.
