We're still about five months away from the debut of the second season of The Mandalorian, but casting news for the hit Disney+ series has been out in full force. The internet has broken several times recently over the news that fan favorites Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and Captain Rex would make appearances in the Mando's story, as well as Mandalorians Sabine Wren and Bo-Katan Kryze. The show has been known for bringing aboard well-known Hollywood faces, like Carl Weathers as Greef Karga and Michael Biehn in an unknown role for Season 2, and a new report indicates the series is continuing that trend...

NEWS

The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned that actor Timothy Olyphant has joined the cast of The Mandalorian. Olyphant, known for his work in Deadwood and Justified, will appear in the second season of the series. Details about Olyphant's role are currently unknown.

WHAT THIS MEANS

We've got quite the cast on our hands for the second season of The Mandalorian. The lineup for the series is truly stacked, and leaves us with many questions about the future. The first season was a fairly self-contained story that had its fair share of star power, but the reported cast for Season 2 indicates that Din Djarin and The Child will be taking their first steps into a much larger world.

Because no details were given about Olyphant's role, all we can do is guess. Having played tough characters in multiple western series before, Olyphant seems to be a perfect fit for the world of The Mandalorian. Given his resume, it seems reasonable to think that he may be playing another bounty hunter, maybe even one with ties to Michael Biehn's character. Or maybe Jon Favreau will completely throw us for a loop, and Olyphant will play an Imperial allied with Moff Gideon? Regardless, we will watch this development with great interest...
