The Mandalorian Season 2 is no doubt a success so far. After an Easter Egg-filled first season, the hit Star Wars show opened the door wide open when notable guest stars from other Star Wars projects made their debut in the Disney+ series, connecting The Mandalorian to the larger storyline.
The show paved the way for the live-action debuts of characters such as Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano while also confirming the much-awaited return of Boba Fett. Despite the growing number of guest stars, The Mandalorian still delivered answers to its own mysterious narrative, particularly the intrigue surrounding Baby Yoda. A huge chunk of Season 2 was dedicated to highlighting The Child's attitude and tendencies, but “Chapter 13” finally gave fans a concrete backstory of the Yoda-like toddler.
As the sophomore season enters its final stretch of episodes, it appears that there will be more twists and turns ahead.
NEWS
In a tweet, Hal Hickel, who serves as the VFX director of The Mandalorian, teased that fans are “in for a rollercoaster” in the final three episodes of Season 2.
Y’all in for a rollercoaster these last three episodes. :) #Mandalorian

WHAT THIS MEANS
As it is, Hickel's tease indicates that there will be surprising reveals that will surely shock fans in the home stretch of The Mandalorian Season 2. This hint isn't surprising, especially considering the fact the official trailer of the show only showed scenes from the first four episodes of the new season. Given that, it's pretty exciting that the viewers will watch the next set of episodes without any expectations of what's to come.
In the months leading to the show's Season 2 premiere, the marketing for The Mandalorian was very secretive up to the last minute. Aside from the reveals in the official trailer, Disney also didn't allow critics to participate in early screenings of episodes of The Mandalorian, seemingly hinting then that there will be surprises that will no doubt break the internet. The result of that was worth it for Disney and Lucasfilm since the return of Boba Fett and the live-action debuts of Bo-Katan and Ahsoka earned positive reception from fans and critics.
Now that The Mandalorian is down to its final three episodes of Season 2, it will be interesting to find out how the next wave of chapters will top the previous ones. Given Hickel's tease that it will be a “rollercoaster,” it's likely that the stakes will be raised to a series high. With this, it's possible that the final three episodes will be dedicated to Moff Gideon's pursuit of Baby Yoda, ultimately leading to a much-awaited rematch between Mando and the Imperial officer.
Whatever the case, the final three episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2 will continue to be the main topic of discussion among fans in the coming weeks.
