As the wait for The Book of Boba Fett's December premiere on Disney+ continues, all eyes are currently set on Disney Plus Day, which will take place on November 12.
Last year, Disney Investor Day served as the announcement day for both Disney+ projects and theatrical films. Shows such as The Acolyte, Ahsoka, and even Lando were all confirmed to be going into production in the coming years. Similar to Disney Investor Day, this year Disney Plus Day will serve as the milestone day for many Star Wars projects.
It has already been revealed that the highly anticipated Kenobi series starring prequel trilogy fan-favorite actors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will be receiving its first trailer on Disney Plus Day. However, it has recently been reported that many more upcoming projects will also be giving fans their first looks at them, along with new announcements of brand new Star Wars content to come in the future.
Official First Looks for Upcoming Star Wars Projects
According to Star Wars News Net, a sizzle reel for the upcoming Andor series on Disney+ will be officially released on November 12 during Disney Plus Day. The Rogue One prequel will be debuting sometime in 2022, so the chance of additional content regarding Andor is possible.
The report also mentioned two additional behind-the-scenes reels would be revealed for The Book of Boba Fett, as well as The Mandalorian.
The outlet said that the announcements of new projects can "definitely" be expected, specifically an animated project that will be released in 2023, along with a teaser for Season 2 of The Bad Batch.
A Big Day for Star Wars
Disney Investor Day was massive for the Star Wars community. While there may not be as many announcements on November 12's Disney Plus Day, the content that will be given to fans will be just as exciting.
Andor receiving a sizzle reel isn't surprising, and considering that it will be released sometime in 2022, an official trailer will likely be following in the coming months. Since The Book of Boba Fett is next up in the line of upcoming Star Wars projects, a reel for it seems appropriate as well.
When it comes to The Mandalorian, fans can expect an extremely minimal behind-the-scenes look, considering how early the project is into filming. The possibility of Ahsoka news is likely as well, specifically an official announcement on the casting of Ezra Bridger.
The true mystery of the news is what will be announced as new projects. The mentioned animated series that is set to hit Disney+ in 2023 is likely the Darth Maul project that was recently reported to be in the works, which will showcase the Dathomir warrior's time running the crime syndicate known as Crimson Dawn.
Due to The Bad Batch already getting a confirmed second season, it isn't surprising that a teaser will be shown, but like The Mandalorian, fans can expect it to be rather short and not show more than a handful of shots.
Disney Plus Day will take place next Friday, November 12.
