The Book of Boba Fett is inching closer to an explosive finale as the titular bounty hunter prepares his forces for war against the Pyke Syndicate. The second live-action Star Wars series follows the story of Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett as he becomes the Daimyo of Mos Espa alongside his loyal ally, Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand.

After starting out slow in terms of its storyline, the hit Star Wars series took it up a notch in the last few episodes as it brought tons of different characters from the galaxy far, far, away. Chapter 4 focused heavily on Shand in its flashbacks, telling the story of how she became Fett's trusted ally. Chapter 5 then brought back Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin, giving fans an idea of what he's been up to since the game-changing events of The Mandalorian Season 2 finale.

Chapter 6 reintroduced a notable character into the mix that certainly spells some trouble for Fett and Shand's takeover. Now, a special look at this mysterious character has been revealed.

Disney officially unveiled a new character poster for The Book of Boba Fett, highlighting a certain fan-favorite character who appeared in Chapter 6: "From The Desert Comes A Stranger."

Chapter 6 introduces the live-action debut of Cad Bane, a notable bounty hunter who has ties to Boba Fett and Fennec Shand:

This latest character poster offers one of the best looks at Cad Bane's live-action design.

The bounty hunter's design has been the subject of conversation among Star Wars fans ever since his appearance in Chapter 6, with some pointing out that it is not accurate to his animated counterpart in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, many would agree that Cad Bane made an impactful comeback in the episode, thus setting the stage for an intense showdown between him and the pair of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand.

All signs point to a star-studded finale for The Book of Boba Fett, with the war between Fett and the Pykes taking center stage. Still, given that Cad Bane is clearly on the side of the Pykes, his unfinished business with Fett and Shand would also be at the forefront during the finale.

Cad Bane had a memorable and scary debut in Chapter 6, with him injuring Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth and killing his first officer in command. There's a strong chance that the finale will feature even more thrilling action sequences involving Bane, and this time around, it will involve Fett and Shand.

On top of the fight sequences, the exchange between Bane and Fett would be an intense one as well, especially considering their shared history. The two originally faced off in an unfinished episode of The Clone Wars which is now non-canon, so it will be interesting to see whether Lucasfilm brings the events of this story back into play. It's also possible that Shand and Bane's encounter during The Bad Batch will be addressed, thus putting more emotional weight into their reunion.

All in all, this character poster for Cad Bane serves as a fitting reminder of his debut while also setting up his major appearance in the show's highly-anticipated finale.

The Book of Boba Fett's finale will start streaming on Disney+ on February 9, 2022.
