Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are still riding the high of Spider-Man: No Way Home's theatrical run, which is now one of the biggest movie events of all time. The threequel earned the sixth-highest box office return in cinematic history, and with so much incredible action in its 148-minute runtime, fans can't seem to get enough of Spidey's latest adventure.
The MCU isn't set to bring another movie to theaters until May with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which means No Way Home still has some time to close out its record-breaking time on the big screen. Fans are going back for multiple viewings on nearly a daily basis with three generations of Spidey movies being celebrated in one blockbuster film.
The viewing public is also eagerly anticipating the day when Marvel Studios' 27th movie becomes available for home purchase, which was reported to come on February 28. Unfortunately, a new report is indicating that No Way Home's home release is delayed, but thankfully, it isn't delayed by too long of a time at all.
Spider-Man: No Way Home's Online Release Date Confirmed
The Microsoft Store revealed that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available for digital home release at midnight on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. This date is one full day after when it was originally thought to be available for purchase on February 28.
The movie is available for 19.99 in three digital versions: SD, HD, and UHD.
Spider-Man Home Release Coming in March
When all is said and done, the delay for Spider-Man: No Way Home's in-home release is only coming 24 hours after when fans initially expected it to arrive. Looking at the timing of this event, it makes sense as well why this date was picked.
Most major blockbusters usually find themselves arriving on DVD and digital platforms on Tuesdays anywhere from two to three months after they first debut in theaters. March 1 comes on a Tuesday as well, putting No Way Home right in line with nearly all of its companions from both the MCU and the DCEU, along with other Hollywood franchises.
With No Way Home releasing officially via Microsoft on March 1, it seems fairly certain that other major digital platforms like Apple will follow suit with this timing. That means that it will only be a couple more weeks until fans can get this massive MCU outing into their digital libraries and enjoy it at any time.
With so many huge moments from beginning to end, the viewing public is looking forward to this date so that they can find every small Easter egg and nod to the future while enjoying the events laid out in the plot. With five Multiversal supervillains, all three live-action Spider-Men, and so much more coming in the runtime, this release will keep viewers busy for the foreseeable future.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in theaters and will be available for digital purchase on March 1, 2022.
