Spider-Man: No Way Home has been dominating the box office ever since its worldwide premiere, with the film slowly climbing up the box office ranks while also breaking records along the way. Directed by Jon Watts, the Tom Holland-led threequel pushes the concept of the Multiverse to the forefront by bringing back multiple villains from previous Spider-Man films while also featuring a rare team-up between the MCU's hero, Tobey Maguire's web-slinger, and Andrew Garfield's web-crawler.
So far, the movie is currently playing in theaters worldwide, but fans would agree that they are already highly anticipating its home media release.
Initially, a listing from Vudu revealed that No Way Home will be available on digital on February 28, 2022. However, a listing from the Microsoft Store unveiled that it was available for digital on March 1, 2022 instead.
Now, Sony placed the conflicting reports to rest due to an official announcement on social media.
When Can I Watch Spider-Man: No Way Home at Home?
Alongside an iconic meme recreation image of the three Spider-Men, Sony Pictures officially confirmed the home media release date of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The studio announced that the MCU threequel will be released on digital on March 22, 2022 and on 4K UHD & Blu-ray on April 12, 2022.
Fans can pre-order the movie now.
There IS a Way Home After All (On Digital)
This latest announcement should serve as a positive sign for diehard fans who are leaning toward rewatching No Way Home several times in the comfort of their homes.
Based on the initial reports of earlier digital release dates, it's possible that Sony moved the planned home media release in order to accommodate the current dominance of the film at the box office.
So far, No Way Home has earned over $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office, and it seems that the studio wants to achieve a $2 billion haul at the end of its theatrical run.
The confirmed digital release dates are also in line with the premiere of the previously rumored extended cut of the movie. The extended version, which was rumored to include unseen footage, is potentially slated for release on March 11, 2022, meaning that the cut could play in theaters for at least a full week before the digital premiere.
Meanwhile, it's reasonable to assume that more content involving the three Spider-Men could be revealed in the weeks leading up to the movie's digital release. The iconic meme recreation image of Holland, Maguire, and Garfield could be the tip of the iceberg, and more might be unveiled to tease bonus features involving the three Spider-Men.
For now, fans can still watch Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters worldwide.
