It’s well known how much Marvel Studios still has planned for 2021, which includes possibly the year’s most hyped movie in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Although no specific plot details have been officially made public yet, the cast list alone is building excitement for arguably the biggest solo movie in MCU history. With the promise of villains from past Spider-Man movies, and the potential of multiple web-slingers alongside Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch, No Way Home could do nothing the rest of the year promotional and still end up being a monumental success.

That being said, fans are chomping at the bit for the first trailer after toy leaks and news releases have carried the promotional tour for the time being. With only three official stills from the film having gone public, the outcry for the long-awaited first footage continues to grow by the day.

Thankfully, there may be some hope in this regard thanks to one of the industry’s most reliable scoopers…

A SPIDER-MAN TRAILER FINALLY IMMINENT?

Scooper Amit Chaudhari revealed on Twitter that the first trailer for Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently being dubbed in India. However, there is no confirmation that the trailer will make its debut with the theatrical release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in September.

HOW MUCH LONGER OF A WAIT?

Almost no movie since Avengers: Endgame has built the kind of anticipation for just a trailer the way Spider-Man: No Way Home has. The fact that it’s now only four months from its debut with a trailer still absent only keeps this trend going, but this news could mean the end of the excruciating wait.

Marvel could attach this trailer to either Shang-Chi or Eternals over the coming weeks, or the team could simply make it its own event to begin No Way Home’s promotional tour. No matter what decision comes from Marvel Studios, the team is in for an internet-breaking moment the very second that footage becomes available for public viewing.

As for Chaudhari’s track record, he’s become a fairly reliable source for Marvel inside news after correctly reporting on multiple movie runtimes along with the status of Robert Downey, Jr.’s Black Widow cameo. The insider has proven to have good knowledge for multiple types of MCU info, although this is certainly the most high-profile scoop he’s released concerning Marvel Studios.

Should he be right again, fans will be on high alert over the coming weeks as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man threequel inches closer to its debut.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to release in theaters on December 17, 2021.
