It's no secret that Zack Snyder's Justice League is a very long movie, with its four-hour run time doubling the length of 2017's original cut completed by Joss Whedon.

At one point the project was intended to be released as a mini-series with multiple episodes , however, that idea was scrapped in favor of being a longer film.

Snyder has heavily discussed how the story is broken up into six distinct chapters which will be reflected in “little indentations” on HBO Max, allowing viewers to skip to specific points in order to make the epic-length more digestible.

Despite the director's previous reveal of six chapters ending with “Something Darker,” he has since teased that his film does contain a seventh part which will act as an epilogue whilst also explaining new details of the film's structure.

ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE'S SEVENTH PART REVEALED

In an interview with Beyond the Trailer, Justice League director Zack Snyder has revealed that, despite previously announcing six parts for the film, there will be the seventh part.

The director described in the interview that “there's an epilogue that's called 'A Father Twice Over' and takes you to the end of the movie, that's the big epilogue.” Snyder went on to confirm the newly-revealed epilogue will be “twenty minutes plus ten of credits after that.”

Some fans have voiced their concerns that a four-hour superhero epic would have pacing issues and slower elements, but it seems that isn't the case as the former DC filmmaker revealed “they actually each have an action sequence, and the epilogue has its own little thing.”

While fans are only just discovering the film's multi-chapter nature, it seems that's always been how Snyder envisioned the film as “those names have been on the movie since 2017.”

Interviewer Grace Randolph went on to ask the director what his favorite chapter of the seven is, to which he confirmed the third, "Beloved Mother, Beloved Son" is his favorite as it has “a lot of stuff in it that [he] really like[s].”

A FAST-PACED FOUR-HOUR EPIC

Despite the film being several hours long, it seems it will maintain a steady pace throughout with the promise of frequent action sequences and dramatic moments across all seven chapters.

The chapter title of "A Father Twice Over" has numerous possible implications for the conclusion of the film. With this being an epilogue it can naturally be assumed this takes place after the action and conflict of the film have been resolved, and will likely contain some major setup for the sequels that will never see the light-of-day .

The identity of the "Father" mentioned in the epilogue title is very hard to guess. Some have speculated this may refer to Silas Stone, father of Victor Stone. Given Silas was responsible for rebuilding Cyborg, this would technically make him "A Father Twice Over." However, Silas was seemingly shown to die in a previously released teaser for the film , seemingly ruling him out.

It won't be long now until fans get their answers as Zack Snyder's Justice League drops March 18 on HBO Max .
