Wonder Woman 1984 is set to get the ball rolling once more for the DCEU despite numerous delays. The film was supposed to premiere last month but it was then moved to an August release date. However, due to the continued rise of coronavirus cases worldwide, Warner Bros. decided to shift the release date once more , moving the film to an October 2 theatrical debut.

Despite that, the promotional campaign for the film has ramped up in recent weeks. A slew of images from the Patty Jenkins-directed superhero flick have surfaced online, teasing fans of what's to come due to the arrival of a spoiler-heavy tie-in novel . That said, it's clear that anticipation is high for the sequel.

And now, a new image shared by the film's lead star might have added to the hype surrounding the sequel while also tackling an ongoing issue amid the pandemic.

In a tweet , Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot shared an image of the Amazonian hero wearing a mask, including the caption #wearamask:

On the surface, it remains to be seen if the image that Gadot shared is from the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 , but it would make sense that it is. In a way, the timely reveal of the image could serve as a reminder to everyone to protect themselves from the virus while also keeping in mind the movie's eventual arrival.

The wearing of masks has been a nationwide issue in the United States ever since the pandemic began, with some people refusing to wear one to prevent the virus from spreading. Regardless, many Hollywood stars have urged fans to practice wearing a mask to save lives, and it's safe to say that Gadot is joining the cause in a true heroic fashion.

At this stage, wearing a mask should be the utmost priority of everyone. In many ways, it says a lot for a hero like Wonder Woman (that doesn't wear a mask during missions) to encourage everyone to follow her lead in protecting the lives of many around the world.
