The followup for Doctor Strange is starting to get ready for production in the U.K. this November. Not only will this movie star Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character, but he'll be joined by Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and Chiwetel Ejiofor returning as Mordo. Not to mention the other characters rumored to appear like Clea, but also most surprisingly Miss America Chavez.

Not only has Miss America been rumored to be part of this sequel since January, but just a few weeks ago, an audition for the character was uploaded online. Now, the working title for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness only strengthens the fact that this Young Avenger will join the Sorcerer Supreme on his quest through the multiverse alongside Wanda Maximoff.

NEWS

Insider Lizzie Hill of Murphy's Multiverse is reporting that the working title for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is “Stellar Vortex.”

WHAT THIS MEANS

Why is Miss America Chavez relevant to this news and working title? Well, one of Chavez's powers in the comics is the ability to open portals to other universes and realities. However, the method she opens them is a bit unique, as she has to either punch or kick open a portal that is in the shape of a star.

Hence the "stellar" part of the working title likely making reference to her method of travel and as a visual motif. As Lizzie Hill speculates, this points to Miss America Chavez having a much larger role to play in the Doctor Strange sequel than fans had first expected when her inclusion was first rumored.

If this title is any indication, fans can expect to see at least one "stellar vortex" when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens on March 25, 2022.
