Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness casting call hints at Clea

D octor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is already shaping up to be one of Marvel Studios' most ambitious projects to date. Alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular character, the movie is said to feature the return of most of the supporting cast from the previous film.

Rumors also suggest that Marvel Studios is planning to introduce America Chavez and Brother Voodoo in the movie. The Illuminerdi now reports that another mystical character might be making their live-action debut in this film .

RUMOR

According to sources from The Illuminerdi , Clea will feature in a major role in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness .

WHAT THIS MEANS

This new report lines up well with the sequel's previously released casting call, which suggested that Marvel Studios was looking for an actress in their late 20's to early '40s, with leading lady qualities. This was seemingly for the lead role of Clea in this film.

Clea is a descendant of the Dark Dimension who made her first appearance in Strange Tales #126 in 1964. In the Marvel comics, Clea suffered under the rule of Dormammu, until she escaped the Dark Dimension, with the help of Doctor Strange. Strange’s teaching’s allowed Clea to become equally as knowledgeable in the mystic arts, earning her the title of the Sorceress Supreme.

The Dark Dimension and it's leader Dormammu previously featured in a significant role in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange . One can only imagine if Marvel Studios will also introduce this version of Clea as a child of the Dark Dimension in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
