DC's League of Super-Pets is the franchise's next animated venture in 2022. The upcoming movie will showcase Dwayne Johnson as Krypto the Superdog teaming up with other super-powered pet friends, such as Kevin Hart's Ace the Bat-Hound. Alongside Johnson and Hart, Super-Pets boasts a stellar cast that includes Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, John Krasinski, and Keanu Reeves

Even though the film has been delayed from May to July, marketing has revealed interesting details that gave fans a preview of what to expect out of its narrative. The trailers have confirmed that a new iteration of Justice League will be unveiled in the film, with Krasinski voicing Superman and Reeves portraying Batman.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but the film's promotional push has indicated that it will revolve around the Super-Pets' rescue mission to save the Justice League from being kidnaped by Lex Luthor.

Now, a special look at the core characters of the movie has been unveiled ahead of its July premiere.

Twitter user @TaurooAldebaran uncovered brand-new promotional art for DC's League of Super-Pets, showcasing a fresh look at the animated movie's version of the Justice League

The poster shows Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Jessica Cruz's Green Lantern alongside the Super-Pets led by Dwayne Johnson's Krypto the Superdog:

How DC's Super-Pets Will Utilize the Justice League

Based on the film's promotional footage, a notable omission from the new poster is Cyborg. However, it's possible that there are other members like Shazam and Aquaman that are included in the movie who are not in the image. Still, this could hint that the five heroes that are present in the poster could be the key focus of the film.

If anything, this could simply be a marketing tactic at DC's end, considering that the Super-Pets that are present in the poster somewhat resemble or are comparable to the heroes' powers.

Aside from Krypto and Ace's obvious connections to Superman and Batman respectively, the other pets each appear to have a matching hero. The super-speeding turtle is related to the Flash, the pig that grows very large could serve as a direct tie to Wonder Woman's strength, and a squirrel shooting electricity is somehow akin to Green Lantern's use of her colorful constructs when targeting an enemy.

It's safe to assume that the Justice League will only be featured as a glorified cameo in the movie, mainly because the focus will be on Krypto and his ragtag group of super-powered pets.

DC's League of Super-Pets will premiere in theaters on July 29.
