Marvel fans have a unique opportunity for celebration now that multiple shows from Marvel Television reside alongside the MCU's movies and mini-series on Disney+. This includes everything from Agents of SHIELD to Jessica Jones, as fans have more than 250 episodes of history to look back through. Included in that bunch is Daredevil, which is making its own set of exciting rounds.
The end of 2021 gave Daredevil new life as Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio reprised their roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively. Fans and crew alike have also shared their thoughts about a potential Daredevil revival, which could go a number of ways depending on how Marvel Studios revisits the character.
Recently, Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight hinted that he'd love to see Marvel Studios bring the series back, although he had no insight into if or when that may happen. This came after a leak claimed that a fourth season or possible revival of Daredevil would begin production within the next year. Now, after the show's move to Disney+, one of its biggest stars revisited the topic as it pertained to a potential comeback on an individual level.
Karen Page Star on Hopes for Return
Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll spoke with Den of Geek about a potential return to play Karen Page for Marvel Studios.
Woll reiterated how much she loved playing her role in Daredevil, saying that she would come back to do it again "in a heartbeat:"
“I loved playing Karen Page. I would gladly, in a heartbeat, pick Karen back up.”
While she hasn't gotten the call to reprise her role yet, she's ready to go if and when it happens:
"Should [Marvel Studios] call, I am here with open ears.”
Woll Ready To Come Back for Marvel's Daredevil
Deborah Ann Woll played the role of Karen Page in every episode of Daredevil, even bringing the character to The Defenders and The Punisher in 2017 on top of that. Having taken the opportunity to give the franchise a key supporting role, especially alongside Charlie Cox's Man Without Fear, Woll is just waiting for Marvel Studios to give her the go-ahead for a comeback.
Long after Daredevil was canceled, Woll continued sharing how much she enjoyed the time she spent making the show, often sharing pictures and memories of her experiences on set. She even has incredible support from one of her co-stars in Vincent D'Onofrio, who called her out specifically to make sure fans recognized her importance to the show.
Currently, while there are rumors pointing to Marvel potentially working on another project for Daredevil, nothing is set in stone in that part of the story. No matter what happens on that front, fans know to expect Woll to be in the running for a reprisal should the Daredevil legacy come back into play.
All three seasons of Daredevil are now streaming on Disney+.
