The small screen side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already in full swing, but the movie branch is not too far behind due to the looming arrival of Black Widow.
Directed by Cate Shortland, the upcoming MCU film will be a prequel that will revolve around the adventure of Scarlett Johansson's Avenger after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before facing Thanos during Avengers: Infinity War.
Johansson will be joined by newcomers to the franchise like Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova, David Harbour's Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz's Melina Vostokoff. The trio will be part of Natasha Romanoff's Russian family from the Red Room, and they will reunite in Black Widow to take down the organization once and for all.
Marketing for Black Widow has ramped up recently, mainly because it's only a matter of weeks before it premieres on Disney+ and in theatres this July.
Now, an important announcement has surfaced alongside several new teasers to boost hype for the film.
A FRESH LOOK AT BLACK WIDOW REVEALED
Fandango released a brand-new clip from Black Widow, showcasing an action sequence involving Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff and Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova.
Alongside the reveal, the outlet confirmed that tickets for the theatrical debut of the upcoming MCU prequel are now on sale. Fans can buy their tickets through Fandango.

Dolby Labs also unveiled a new poster for Black Widow:
THE RED ROOM'S PURSUIT OF NATASHA ROMANOFF
The clip provides a glimpse of how intense Black Widow will be, and it's fitting that it highlights the dangerous Red Room agents in pursuit of the titular hero. The footage revealed that the Red Room agents are a force to be reckoned with, thus presenting a formidable challenge to the heroes.
On a plot level, it seems that this scene takes place briefly after the reunion of Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova, and it looks like their Red Room sisters managed to track them down quite easily. It remains to be seen why they are pursuing Romanoff and Belova, but there's a good chance that they found the right opportunity due to the emergence of the Sokovia Accords and the disbandment of the Avengers.
The wild goose chase between Romanoff's family and her former sisters from Russia will definitely be a focal point of Black Widow while the added threat of Taskmaster will no doubt make things harder for the runaway Avenger. With her back against the wall, it makes narrative sense that Romanoff will be forced to work together with Yelena and the others to fend off the dangerous threat.
The Infinity Saga only showed a preview of Black Widow's history in the MCU with clues coming from flashbacks and dialogue from movies like The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The prequel is poised to finally showcase an in-depth look at the hero's complicated past, and all will be revealed when Black Widow premieres on Disney+ and in theaters on July 9, 2021.
