The CW's Batwoman series will feature new and unexpected characters due to the departure of its former lead star, Ruby Rose. The surprising exit of Rose from the Arrowverse forced the showrunners to craft an entirely different story for the show's sophomore run, essentially changing several lingering plot threads that were established during the successful first season.

This development led to the arrival of Javicia Leslie's Ryan Wilder into the mix, with the character taking over the Batwoman mantle from Kate Kane after her sudden disappearance. It remains to be seen how Wilder will end up as the new Caped Crusader of Gotham, but several promo spots may offer clues about the character's heroic journey in the show.

And now, an exciting look at Gotham's newest hero has emerged.

The CW officially released another poster for Batwoman, showcasing the brand new Batsuit of Javicia Leslie's Ryan Wilder.

Batwoman's new suit has been the subject of discussion among fans ever since it was revealed last October since many pointed out that this version of the hero will not wear the traditional eye make-up underneath the cowl. Now, this latest poster essentially confirms that design output, ultimately establishing Leslie's Batwoman as her own unique portrayal.

The notable difference between Wilder's suit from Kate Kane's original costume is the presence of a curlier wig that has red streaks. Interestingly, the wig is nowhere to be seen in this official poster, and this could hint that Wilder will initially not wear the headgear during her first mission. In a way, this could serve as a direct reference to Kate's first time as the vigilante during Season 1.

The anticipation surrounding Wilder's debut is sky-high since Batwoman will be the first show to premiere under the Arrowverse banner this 2021 after numerous production delays that occurred last year. No doubt, this image should serve as a major step forward in building more hype for Leslie's entrance in the hit CW show.
