In a new post on Instagram, actor Serhat Metin released a photo of himself dressed as one of the Spartan Warrior extras from Wonder Woman 1984 .

Metin revealed that his costume for this movie is the same costume worn by the Spartan Warriors in 2006's 300 , directed by DCEU director Zack Snyder.

Metin's shared:

Playing a Spartan Warrior in the new Wonder Woman film ‘WW84’ was one of my most greatest experiences on set. Got to meet Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and the producers of the movie at Warner Bros studios, UK. It took hair and makeup a good 2 hours to get through, plus another 2 for costume....that’s 4 hours to look like this before we were actually called on set. Then the rehearsals took place with heavy swords and shields that we used to attack Wonder Woman in her new armour with the attached Valkyrie wings.
Fun facts about the movie:
1) I was born in the same year the movie was set (1984)
2) I have always wanted to play a Spartan Warrior since I watched Gerard Butler play Leonidas in Zack Snyder’s ‘300’
3) The costume I wore is from the official 300 movie that Gerard Butler and his Spartan Warriors wore.
4) I auditioned for a much smaller role but didn’t get the part.

I have still yet to watch the film but if you have, drop me a message and look out for the scene ⚔️

Zack Snyder is one of the most prominent personalities in the DCEU , serving as an executive producer or director on nearly every film in the franchise released to date. He served as one of director Patty Jenkins' biggest supporters as she built the Wonder Woman franchise, and this costume is a great way to pay tribute to his contributions.

300 was the second directorial effort of Zack Snyder's career , and its only fitting that both this movie and Wonder Woman 1984 utilized Spartan characters through the plot. It's especially meaningful that Serhat Metin had the chance to suit up in this costume considering how 300 inspired him to want to play a similar role someday.

Warner Bros. served as the distributor for both Wonder Woman 1984 and 300 , and taking into account Zack Snyder's connection to both, there's a chance that it was easier than normal to bring the Spartan costume into play. This comes as another enlightening Easter Egg as Wonder Woman 1984 makes its rounds throughout the world, and fans will certainly be on the lookout for more Easter Eggs like this one.
